Satch is a 10 year old extremely healthy and active neutered boy who is current on vaccines and prevention. To say he loves playing fetch is an understatement! He will sit for a ball if asked, but if not, he’s going to do his best to jump and take it from you before you throw it. Satch knows his basic commands including sit and stay. He doesn’t really like down, but will do it sometimes. Although Satch is active, he knows the benefits of relaxation. He loves to curl up on any soft surface that he is allowed on. He will also attentively watch TV, especially if there’s a dog or tornado on. You might not be able to watch TV around his head though, he likes to be as close as possible! Satch is house trained and crate trained. He loves his kennel, and will go into it with a simple command. Satch was a hunting dog in his previous home and has a very high prey drive, so no small cats or small critters in the home for him. As an active senior, Satch likes going for walks and is good on a leash with a harness, until he sees a small critter or horse along the way. He will attempt to chase the small critters (or horses), so be ready and pay attention. Satch is good with most other dogs, but is not fond of younger dogs that don’t know boundaries. He is not a fan of other dogs in his space all the time. Satch is fostered in Midwest City, OK and his adoption donation is $150. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
