Anatolian Shepherd-Great Pyrenees Mix Litter of Puppies For Sale in RENO, NV, USA
Born on Valentine’s Day (Feb. 14) 2023 and FULLY VACCINATED (rabies included) until Spring 2024. These are NOT small, young and inexperienced puppies. If you have a predator problem NOW, a 8/10/12/14/20 week old puppy cannot defend itself – let alone any livestock. These pups are almost 9 months old, are healthy, of considerable size and have been actively working alongside their parents, living with goats full time, since 5 weeks of age. These pups are Not from pet dogs. They have excellent instincts given to them from multiple generations of WORKING Livestock Guardian Dogs. We’ve introduced them to chicken, ducks and emu several times (not hard to continue that training). Like their parents, they will alert you to land and air predators (coyote, Big cats, snakes, Golden Eagle – we have them all here). Parents were DNA tested & found clear of all known breed-relevant hereditary issues (email copies to those who employ one our pups, upon request). Mom is 100% Great Pyrenees out of Working LGDs from a Reno, NV ranch. Dad is 75% Anatolian Shepherd/Kangal 12.5% Great Pyrenees 12.5% German Shepherd (making pups 1/16 German Shepherd) and was from a Valley Springs, CA farm. It's sucks to have to mention this but, you must have full, secure fencing (NOT A TETHER LINE, TIE-OUT OR CHAIN) that includes some kind of shelter that stays dry, provide adequately clean water and food daily and provide Vet care when needed. LGD’s would give their lives to protect your livestock, property and family and should be treated as a Valuable Asset. Males & females available for new employment today. Record of Vet health check and vaccinations (including rabies) goes with each worker. Our Sire was DNA tested a found clear of ALL known breed-relevant hereditary issues. (Copies provided via email to new employers)
Our Sire is 75% Anatolian Shepherd/Kangal 12.5% Great Pyrenees and 12.5% German Shepherd (making pups 1/16 GS).
His AKC Anatolian Shepherd dam (100%) and 50% Kangal/25% Great Pyrenees/25% German Shepherd sire are Working LGDs out of Valley Springs, CA.
At just 4 months old he accidentally had completely unsupervised access to week-old Nigerian Dwarf Goat kids for hours. Not one kid injured in any way. He kept them right near where they came into the adult doe pen from the Nursery pen. I watched how gentle he was (after my initial shock and horror of finding my puppy with kids no more than 3# each), he kept a short 24 inch distance from the kids but also kept the older does away from them.
The husband and I felt pretty damn good about the long drive and money spent on bringing him home - HE IS SO WORTH IT!

Dam was DNA tested and found clear of ALL known breed-relevant hereditary issues.
She is 100% Great Pyrenees out of Working LGDs on a ranch not too far from us. Our predator load is similar, with several packs of coyote being the biggest issue - but bobcat, mountain lion, Golden Eagle and hawks can also pose a problem, especially to young livestock.
Our dam has always been good with any livestock we've introduced her to - never any problem. She's always patrolling and watchful. She's a fantastic Guardian of everything on our farm and is a world class snuggler too.
