Posted Breed: American Bulldog / Boxer / Mixed (short coat). The dogs Arcadia Animal Rescue saves are mainly located in southern states, such as NC, SC, TN and TX. We can transport to most states, through partner networks. Virtual meet n greets can be arranged for all non-local adopters. *** URGENT - Midnight *** This poor 4 y/o, 50 lb. bully mix MIDNIGHT has had nothing but bad luck after bad luck. First, his family moved out of their NC apartment and literally left him behind on the balcony. And he stayed there and patiently waited for his beloved family to return, but they never did. Instead, an animal control officer showed up to take him away, and he found himself timestamped for euthanasia due to space at the shelter. We stepped in and pulled him off of death row in the nick of time, had him vetted and placed in boarding until we found an adopter for him — a US Veteran who had no other pets and no children, and finally Midnight would be back in a home and getting all the love and attention he deserves. This should’ve been a happy ending to the story, right? Sadly, no. We received a call from now another Shelter that the US veteran that adopted him just 2 short months ago has now found himself homeless and living in a shelter himself, and is not allowed to have the dog there. So, poor Midnight now finds himself AGAIN facing euthanasia in a shelter this coming Sat 10/7 if we can’t find a place for him to go. At the original shelter in NC, he was tested with a female dog and passed (we have video) but he has not been in a home with other dogs since moving up north that we know of. We do not know how he is with cats or children. ***** If you are able to help us help Midnight (again!) to not lose his life through no fault of his own, PLEASE CALL / TEXT Aly at 732-604-0625 ASAP as time is of the essence!! ***** We also have additional videos of Midnight that we can share by text. (NOTE: Midnight is currently located in a shelter on the Mass / NYS border). To apply to adopt, click on .arcadiarescue/application. If the pet you applied for is no longer available, .arcadiarescue/adopt to see all of our available pets. Note: Some pups are in boarding facilities in order to save their lives. This is far from ideal, they really need to be in loving homes. Due to record number owner surrenders this year, we have zero foster homes available. Fostering helps save another pup from euthanasia in an overcrowded kill shelter needing to free up a kennel. If you can foster, go to .arcadiarescue/foster and fill out a foster application.
