Posted Breed: Dachshund / Chihuahua / Mixed. Adoption Fee: 450. Introducing PennyKae! Penny's journey began when she was found abandoned in a crate in a park in Texas. She was covered in fleas and clearly had recently had puppies. Despite her rough start, Penny's a smart cookie who loves nothing more than playing with her toys. Let's talk toys – Penny is absolutely obsessed with them. She'll gather up every toy she can find and stash them in her crate or her designated area, claiming them as her own. She can be a bit of a toy hog and doesn't like having them taken away, which her foster family is working with her on. While she's not a fan of sharing her toys, Penny does get along fine with other animals, as long as they respect her boundaries. Penny's a loving and affectionate pup who's always ready for snuggles, but she can be cautious around strangers. It is important to have slow introductions to new people and allow her to feel comfortable on her own time. Her daily routine revolves around toy hunting and playtime, with meals and potty breaks sprinkled in between. She's a quiet sleeper who's content to snooze in her crate until it's time to start the day. Penny has a playful personality and affectionate nature. If you're looking for a loyal companion who'll keep you entertained with her toy antics and shower you with love, PennyKae might just be the perfect match for you. So, if you're ready to open your heart and home to this delightful pup, Penny's waiting to meet you! Penny currently lives with large and small dogs and adults. She has not been introduced to cats. Due to her resource guarding of toys, small children may not be a good fit for her at this time. PennyKae is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 3/9/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5:30pm and 8:30pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accomodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
