The American Pit Bull was originally bred for dog fighting and gained a reputation as a vicious animal. Can be a loyal and affectionate pet when trained and socialized properly.

Labrenees

Pyrador, Pyrelab

Labrenees or Pyrador is the mix of one large-sized dog; the Great Pyrenees and one medium-sized dog; Labrador Retriever. As a hybrid, it has better quality than its parent breeds as the traits and characteristics are mixed. These are very large dogs that are typically more cooperative and trainable than the Great Pyrenees, but more discriminating and naturally protective than the Labrador Retriever.

Labrottie

The Labrottie is a cross between an Labrador Retriever and a Rottweiler. The Labrottie is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Labrador Retriever and a Rottweiler. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the Labrottie are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. We currently do not have more detailed information for this breed.

The Staffordshire Bull Terrier is very intelligent. He loves daily exercise and does best if given sturdy chew toys. This breed tends to have a very even temper and affectionate nature, making him a terrific companion for most dog lovers.

The Rhodesian Ridgeback is great as a hunting dog, a watch dog, or a family pet. They love children and are always eager to please their owner.

A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
