Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). The dogs Arcadia Animal Rescue saves are mainly located in southern states, such as NC, SC, TN and TX. We can transport to most states, through partner networks. Virtual meet n greets can be arranged for all non-local adopters. **URGENT - Foster/Adopter Needed ASAP!!** Meet Demi!! This gorgeous sweet girl found herself in an overcrowded kill shelter in TX through no fault of her own. As record numbers of pets are being dumped at shelters, healthy pups are being euthanised just to free up kennel space. Large dogs take up more room, so yep, you guessed right, Demi was slated for euthanasia. With a shortage of foster homes too, we had to put Demi into a boarding facility to save her life. This is far from ideal and she sees this is no different to being in a shelter. We need to find a foster or adopter ASAP. We don't too much about Demi, as we just rescued her. We do know she has an amputated toe but she is completely fine with her unique looking paw! Please check back over coming days to check for updates. If you could open your heart and home for this sweetheart, please contact Shannon on 919 442 7720 ASAP. Note: Demi will be spayed prior to adoption. If the pet you applied for is no longer available, .arcadiarescue/adopt to see all of our available pets. Note: Some pups are in boarding facilities in order to save their lives. This is far from ideal, they really need to be in loving homes. Due to record number owner surrenders this year, we have zero foster homes available. Fostering helps save another pup from euthanasia in an overcrowded kill shelter needing to free up a kennel. If you can foster, go to .arcadiarescue/foster and fill out a foster application.
