Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog / Belgian Shepherd Malinois (medium coat). The dogs Arcadia Animal Rescue saves are mainly located in southern states, such as NC, SC, TN and TX. We can transport to most states, through partner networks. Virtual meet n greets can be arranged for all non-local adopters. ***URGENT Foster/Adopter Needed ASAP!!!*** Iris found herself in an overcrowded high kill shelter in TX, through no fault of her own. As if that wasn't bad enough and this is the really sad part, Iris just gave birth and to only one puppy. Tragically, the puppy did not survive and it was a very traumatic experience for Iris. The shelter then placed her on the euthanasia list to free up kennel space. We could not let that happen to this precious girl!!! Healthy pets that owners, or their families, are surrendering to shelters, especially in southern states, are being euthanised in record numbers just to free up kennel space. With a shortage of fosters, we had to put Iris into temporary boarding to save her life. This is far from ideal for this sweetheart, she needs a home NOW!! ******** IRIS - Just look at her eyes!!! Truly BEAUTIFUL STUNNING GSD with mesmerising eyes! How could you not fall in head over and into the depths of those eyes?!! Iris is truly a beautiful girl in and out, no doubt it, and true to her breed, she is a gentle giant and has a huge heart! As a result of her recent trauma, she really needs someone who is a calm presence, has patience, who can help Iris heal from her loss.
