Posted Breed: Havanese / Shih Tzu / Mixed (long coat). Winston is a handsome 2 yr old Havanese mix, possibly with ShihTzu, who weighs 17 lbs. He has a very big and lovable personality. Winston is smart and pays attention to all the things going on in the household. He is outgoing and friendly. Winston is playful, active and athletic and is doing well on housetraining and leash walking. Even though Winston is active, he is also snuggly and likes being held like a baby. He is high-energy and needs a home where he can get plenty of exercise and playtime. His new family should enjoy and take daily vigorous walks. Winston can get into mischief if he is bored so his family should be prepared to provide a lot of engaging stimulation. He could be an only dog or have another playful dog in the home about his size. Winston loves playing with his foster brother. Winston wants to be wherever his foster family is and tends to park himself underfoot, so he can be a trip hazard. WE REQUIRE AN ALL-ADULT HOME (NO YOUNG CHILDREN) WITH A SECURELY FENCED YARD FOR WINSTON'S ADOPTIVE HOME. The secure fence must be 4ft (preferably 5 feet because he is a jumper) or higher, with gaps no greater than 2 1/2 inches and attached to the home. An invisible fence, enclosed patio, terrace or deck, temporary fencing, dog pens or dog lots or community shared fencing (dog park) are NOT considered secure fencing. If your fencing has "puppy pickets" (or is supplemented with garden fencing) it needs to be at least 40 inches high from the ground up AT THE LOWEST POINT. No exceptions. We are an all-volunteer organization, and in addition to saving dogs, we have other responsibilities, so we appreciate your patience and understanding during this process. Response time can take up to 5 business. Please inquire only if you are willing to come to Greensboro, North Carolina to meet the dog after we schedule your home visit. We do not ship dogs or put them on transports. Veterinary Care: All Hart-2-Heart Rescue foster dogs are spayed/neutered, current on heartworm prevention, parvo/distemper, bordetella, and rabies vaccines and are professionally groomed. As needed, our foster dogs have teeth cleanings, extractions, bloodwork and other diagnostic testing. Adoption Fee: $500
