Tutu's a sweetheart through and through, with a fondness for outdoor adventures and playtime with her favorite toys. In just a few days of fostering, Tutu's already warmed up to her new Texas foster family, showing off her playful personality and love for snuggles. She's got a routine down pat, from morning outings to chilling in her penned-off area with her foster pals. And when it's playtime, Tutu's the life of the party – she's got a knack for gathering up all the toys and proudly showing them off in her crate. While she's fine with other dogs, Tutu's not a fan of sharing her space or her food bowl – she'll let out a little growl to let them know. But don't worry, it's all bark and no bite, she is just communicating that she would like a little space! If there are other dogs around, feeding her separately, or in her crate, will make her most comfortable, With her bubbly personality and love for attention, Tutu will make a wonderful addition to any family. If you're ready to shower her with love and affection, Tutu's ready to return the favor tenfold. Tutu currently lives with small dogs and adults. She has not been introduced to children or cats. *This animal is a part of our “Seniors for Seniors” program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt an eligible pet at a discounted fee.* Adopting a senior dog is like getting a vintage car – it comes with character, a few extra quirks, and might need a bit more maintenance. Expect occasional tune ups at the vet for oil changes (aka meds), and embrace the fact that those 'normal lumps and bumps' are just part of the well-earned charm package! Ruff Start will share all known health information with adopters and recommendations to keep your senior dog in top shape. Tutu is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 3/9/2024 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 5:30pm and 8:30pm. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven’t arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start’s Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start’s veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments.
