Laid-back Lilly has an unbelievably sweet personality and temperament. When she looks up at you and flashes that big smile, it will melt your heart. She absolutely adores cuddles and attention! She was pregnant when she was rescued and was such a very loving mama to her puppies. Lilly loves playing with all sorts of toys! She loves her big and little humans and follows them everywhere! Lilly has been great with any dog she has been introduced to, she is a patient happy girl that gets along with everyone. Lilly may take a few moments to warm up to a new environment, so can be timid on a leash. Additionally, her foster mom has a fenced backyard with room to explore so she just hasn't had a lot of practice on the leash but in no time at all she will have those skills perfected, we are sure she would love neighborhood walks. Lilly is looking a loving home, a fenced yard and canine buddy would be a plus. Lilly continues to wait patiently to meet her forever family to make her rescue journey complete. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics.
