Posted Breed: Terrier (medium coat). "Toby and Sarah" Bonded pair Terriers mixes, 3 & 6 yrs old THESE ARE A BONDED PAIR AND NEED TO STAY TOGETHER Toby and Sarah. Sarah is a darling 6 yr old terrier girl. weighing in at 13lbs and house trained. She is a little shy at first, but loves to be adored by her human. She will nuzzle you for affection, is quiet and loves walks andis well behaved. Her mother died suddenly and she and Toby had no where to go. They only have each other. Would love to find them a home together. This handsome boy Toby is estimated to be 3 three yrs old. he is well mannered,curious and house trained. He will nuzzle your hand for a back scratch or head rub. He loves walks, is shy but friendly. He is just a little guy at 17 lbs. He and his sister Sarah were left homeless when their mom died. Our adoption fee through our rescue covers the dog being fully vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered, dewormed and flea treated. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
