Posted Breed: Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Mixed (medium coat). AVAILABLE FOR A LOVING FAMILY!! Sassy, a 6 month old, 22 lb female Malinois mix is ready to meet her forever family. Sassy had a very rough start in life, and even with a terrible beginning, she is a sweet, kind, loving, silly, playful and affectionate girl. Sassy is good with other dogs of all sizes and people, though she can be shy at first when meeting new people. She is doing great on her house training, and sleeps through the night in her crate. Sassy loves to go for walks and hikes, and is like a curious kitten, she enjoys all the new sites and smells. Sassy enjoys playing with stuffed toys, chewing on bones and getting treats. She would love a buddy to play with, or humans that can play with her. Oh, and she’s a great assistant if you need junk mail shredded! If you want a fun, playful, gorgeous pup, Sassy might be the girl for you! Her adoption fee of $450. includes her spay, microchip and current vaccinations. A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
