Posted Breed: Unknown breed (medium coat). Hank appreciates the simpler things in life like; playing with his toys, playtime with you, and you—in no particular order. He is Olympic-worthy when it comes to his reflexes and retrieval skills during fetch, and is not shy to ask for impromptu practice sessions whenever the mood strikes. He'll try to push his toy into you and bark until you give in, so if you're willing to invest in a toy or ball launcher to lighten the load, that could be the key to his heart for never ending fun and entertainment. When Hank isn't in full-blown play and party mode, he is happy to stroll around the neighborhood for his leisurely walks, or rest on the couch or in a dog bed nearby. In true small dog fashion, he loves getting cozy and burrowing underneath a pile of blankets, and is happy to join in on the snugglefest whenever he can. He also loves being near his human(s) whether it be napping next to them, following them around, or when it's finally back on for more playtime. We don't know about his history with other dogs other than interacting with them on walks, but he has coexisted well with cats. Hank has a fairly recent history of seizures, and is looking for an adult-only and patient home that is comfortable continuing to manage his ongoing care with their own full-service veterinarian, as well as any future episodes that may occur. Because he can become very stressed from medical handling, Hank's adopter(s) should work closely with their primary vet to minimize his anxiety as much as possible for any visits, and adjust plans accordingly when needed. He is currently taking medication to help keep things under control for his seizures, that he will need to stay on likely for the rest of his life, so routine and consistency are necessary to keep him healthy and happy. While Hank is still working through some things, he has been a trooper through lots of recent transition and upheaval in his life, and has maintained a great attitude through it all.
