Posted Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Miss Honey like her namesake just wants to add goodness to this world. She is gentle, sweet, and always on your side... or right there beside it. She is an absolute cuddlebug and will take any opportunity she can for a nap or pet, and in Miss Honey's most ideal world both are happening at the same time. She shows her affection by joining you as your work from home assistant, sous-chef in the kitchen, snuggling up next to you and politely looking at you for pets, ultimately flopping over for belly rubs. Sometimes she can be a bit more direct with her approach and will offer her paw to kindly let you know and practically ask (and she always says please and thank you) that she would like the pets to keep coming, or roll onto your lap to really make sure she gets her point across. Miss Honey's foster parents firmly believe that her primary love language is physical touch, but when she isn't in full blown snuggle-mode or letting you know how excited she is to see you with an almost-lethal-tail-wag, she is often found getting very excited for her beloved walks. She will let you know just how elated she is by parkouring off of the couch at the sound of her leash and harness jingle even after a deep snooze (with her endearing snore included), and will turn into her ultimate silly and wiggly self. For her walks, Miss Honey prefers to spend them enjoying all of her favorite sights and sniffs and people, and is still working on some of her leash reactivity and would prefer to walk in less heavily dog-populated areas where she becomes more stressed. She is quite the explorer, watch her go here! Miss Honey was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) a few months ago, but is still living a very active life despite her prognosis, and according to her foster parents she has been enjoying her prescription diet food and "hasn't met a veggie or fruit she didn't like" for some added fun and diversity to her palate. Miss Honey is a very food-motivated lady who loves a good food puzzle for slow feeder for some extra challenge, and for further treatment should continue on her prescription diet with lots of added hydration as well as supportive sub-q fluids every few days. She is a part of our Hospice Program due to being in Stage 3 of her CKD and is looking for a special family who will diligently monitor and provide care for her quality of life, and overall comfort for whatever time she has left. Miss Honey is ready to be spoiled with all the love you have to offer, and should continue to have her renal values checked by a full-service veterinarian to determine her ongoing future care and needs.
