Lita's ideal day consists of; sniffing out her kibble or treats, finding the best sticks to carry, plenty of play time with her toys and two and four-legged foster siblings, then finally settling down to fall asleep in your lap or on the couch when it's all over. Have a shoulder to spare in need of a snout? Lita's favorite way to show you that she loves you is by nuzzling her face into you, and lulling herself into a deep sleep because she is so calmed by your presence. She is more ready to show off her spunk, and will be the perfect playmate to almost any home and resident dog(s) in need of one to keep things interesting! Lita can be a bit shy with new people at first, so having a confident dog around to show her the ropes helps her lean into her environment and get comfortable easing into things more quickly. She loves to play with her foster sister all day long and is a huge fan of toys, and is always the last one in the door to come inside from the yard after romping around. Lita has also lived with many cats at this point, and has done well sharing space with them and respecting their boundaries. No matter their age, once she has warmed up to new human friends, she is incredibly cuddly and quick to make an almost instant love connection. Her foster parent describes Lita as, " a loving little angel. She is the perfect mix of sweet and playful." She is also a very treat-motivated girl who is an excellent work in progress with crate training, and would appreciate some patience with housebreaking and being redirected from chewing on things that she shouldn't. She is a good passenger for car rides, and knows "come" and "down" so far, with lots of room for more tricks and training.
