Posted Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). Jinkies, looks like Scooby has retired from Mystery Incorporated to search for his forever home! Unlike his namesake, he isn't much of a scaredy-cat! In fact, this brave guy is quite the opposite. Scooby's been described as an outgoing, confident and friendly pal who has an easy time making new friends everywhere he goes! Scooby the sploot expert, tends to sleep in goofy positions like the splits or spread eagle with his belly exposed for some loving. He's addicted to head scritches and often flops his noggin onto your lap for some well deserved pets! Scooby was found as a stray on the streets of Philadelphia with a pretty rough skin infection, but after some major TLC he's happy, healthy and cozy in foster care with his finder. According to his foster parent, "with consistent training Scooby is honestly the perfect dog!" Scooby currently lives in a home with a small dog, and reportedly does great at taking social cues and maintaining friendly interactions with other dogs, and could make for an excellent roommate or sibling! Scooby is a big fan of going out on the town to take in all the sites, sounds, and smells with his tiny sidekick. While we have no information regarding Scooby's behavior towards cats, his laid-back personality and social demeanor leads us to believe that he would do fine in a home with cats as long as they are slowly introduced. Scooby will need an adopter that is comfortable with providing consistent training to help effectively curb a few of his quirky habits! The temptation of table food can be a little too strong for poor Scoob, who has been known to sneakily commandeer a treat off of your dinner plate from time to time! He can also get a over-excited and pull during walks.Specifically, he enjoys trying to chase joggers, bikes, skateboards or strollers. While this habit it cute, Scoob is stronger than he looks so continued training is definitely recommended! Scooby can have a bit of an affinity for chewing wires and or other stringy objects he can get his paws on too. Luckily he's great at taking redirection, and will usually trade for a toy or a tasty treat! His goofy antics will be sure to make you giggle everyday! Will you be the Shaggy to our Scooby?
