SIMON - UNKNOWN BREED (MEDIUM COAT) DOG FOR ADOPTION

Posted Breed: Unknown breed (medium coat). Simon would love nothing more than to snuggle up next to you for naps, join you for walks, and whatever else you have in mind in—true companion style! He adores spending time with his people, or making new friends whenever he has the opportunity. When he isn't busy socializing, Simon is very fond of his playtime, and despite his au naturel old man scruff, he is a puppy at heart! He was originally found as a stray, so we don't know too much about his history, but estimate him to be a between ~1-2 years old, and have gotten the opportunity to learn lots more about him from his time in foster care. He'll give you all of his undivided attention when you're together, and invite you to play by bringing toys right over for extra fetch and tug opportunities. Simon loves to play all day and have access to lots of appropriate toys for him to be able chew on, and when he's ready to call it quits is an excellent nap partner. He'll sit right next to or on you, rubbing his face on yours with some occasional kisses, and go to sleep on his back with his paws right up in the air to show you he's really relaxed to the max. Simon enjoys his walks and is still getting the hang of a leash of walking on leash, and being confident while out on walks. He can be a bit jumpy initially, but is easily redirected, and a good listener and learner. He will also require some patience while working on other things with his adopter(s) like some chewing, counter surfing, and getting more comfortable with traveling on the road if that is necessary for things like vet visits, and other travel. He is very people-oriented, but Simon has also really enjoyed the company of other smaller dogs that match his energy, and can be quite snuggly with them. Depending on a resident dog's temperament and preference for playmates we think that Simon could be a good fit for other higher energy dogs, and that he could also have some feline friendship(s) with any cats that are okay with a very fast and spunky scruffy boy that will be wanting to run and zoom around with them at home. Simon is not only ready to run into your life, but leap right in with so much love, joy, and grace — most of the time. He will provide the ultimate best friendship that you could ever ask for, and have you unable to imagine your life without him as your favorite pint-sized pal!
