Posted Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: 150. My name is Aimee! My foster parents call me Aims though. I have learned sit, down, leave it, go kennel, and I’m even house broken now too!! I have loads of energy to the point my foster family calls my energizer bunny. I love kids, people, puzzle toys, ice cubes, being outside, other animals, car rides, and so many treats!!! I’m trying to be as good as I can for my future family so they will love me just as much as I will love them. Please love on me and take me home! The adoption fee of $150 will include spay/neuter, microchip, age appropriate/required vaccinations, treatment for heartworm and any other necessary medical treatment to assure a healthy new pup for your family. IMPORTANT DISCLAIMER: Although we do our best to describe breed, since our pups all come from shelters we can not and will not make any guarantee on breed or size. We can tell you that they are 100% RESCUED! And that is the BEST breed! Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
