NAME: HOB GALDING LITTER: HOB is part of "THE SANDMAN" litter AGE/GENDER: Born 2/08/2023, Male BREED: SHEPHERD/HUSKY MIX TEMPERAMENT: Playful and mischievous HOUSE TRAINING: Good with a consistent schedule. CRATE TRAINING: Good. He eats and sleeps in his crate. OTHER DOGS: Good! He's friendly with other dogs. He is fostered with other dogs his size. He has not been around many smaller dogs. CATS: He can be a little too focused on them and has a bit of a prey drive. CHILDREN: Dog-respectful children, 8 and older ADOPTION DONATION: $600.00 HEALTH: HOB is healthy! He is altered, microchipped, flea treated, and dewormed. Your adoption donation goes toward the cost of this vet care as well as transportation and general care costs. HISTORY: Hob and his litter were found in the middle of winter under a trailer and with little protection from the elements. Adult dogs could not be found and he and his litter were brought to Motley Zoo so they could be bottlefed. NOTES FROM FOSTER HOME: Meet HOB GADLING, a young, vibrant soul overflowing with energy and curiosity. His playful antics will keep you entertained, while his friendly nature will make you feel loved. He is funny in his own unique way, making you chuckle at his innocent mischief. Hob's loyalty is unwavering, a trait that will make you feel secure and cherished. Despite his energetic exterior, he is also a bit shy, adding a touch of endearing vulnerability to his personality. He has an interesting face, with eyes that seem to hold a world of stories. But the most captivating thing about Hob is his spirit. He embodies the joy of living in the moment, reminding you to appreciate the simple things in life. All dogs adopted from Motley Zoo come with a leash and either a Martingale collar or a harness, depending on each dog's particular needs. Welcome to Motley Zoo Animal Rescue. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal rescue organization that is run by volunteers. Motley Zoo does not have a brick and mortar shelter location. Instead, all our rescue animals are cared for in private foster homes where the animals receive one-on-one care and attention in a home environment until permanent placement is found. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
