The lady who found him sleeping on her property wanted to keep him safe, so she held him while he was being vetted. Beau is about 8 years old, but he is very active, even rambunctious. Nobody has taught this 58-pound boy any manners, and he's like a bull in a china shop! It's sad that nobody has paid him enough attention in his entire life to teach him the simplest commands. He will jump up, pee on your shoes, wallow all over you, surf every counter he sees, and not respect personal space. Yet he is a happy boy and doesn't have a mean bone in his body! He has been treated for lymes, kept up-to-date on flea/tick and heartworm prevention,, and was neutered and microchipped on Jan 9, 2024. After his surgery, he went to a kennel at the shelter where he could be kept calm, warm, and dry inside while his incision healed. He returned to his foster home Jan 18, 2024, where he has a heated dog house and a big fenced pen in which to run around.
