Adoption Fee: $475.00. ____________________________________________________________ Jeanine Daugherty malinoisrescue/forms/form?formid=6574 Bruce is a loving velcro puppy that is looking for his forever home. He is current on all vaccinations as well as heart worm and flea and tick preventative. He has plenty of energy to run and play but will not mind cuddling up with you on the couch if you let him. He is starting to catch on about how fun toys and playing with his foster brother can be. He is a little vocal when playing but doesn’t typically bark unless another dog does. He is crate trained and does not mess with the towel that is kept in there with him. Bruce sleeps with a blanket over his kennel since he seems to prefer it to be very dark at bedtime. He is very food motivated. For meal time, he needs to eat from a food puzzle or slow feeder. Bruce will gladly accompany you to the local brewery for some live music so he can steal all the attention because of how cute he is. He can be timid at first but his confidence is growing everyday. He has been around other dogs, kids and adults with no issues. The taxidermy animals displayed at Cabelas didn’t phase him one bit either. Bruce will make an amazing companion to someone who wants to love him and continue his training. He has a goofy side to his personality and is a bit uncoordinated since he is still a puppy. Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
