We are foster based and our organization is national, we have dogs in foster all over the country. Please inquire if you do not see information about a specific dogs location in the description. A Heartwarming Tale: Bottle Puppies Find a Surrogate Mama In the shelter world, miracles often happen, and this story is no exception. A group of tiny bottle puppies, surrendered to the shelter, faced an uncertain fate until a sweet mama dog undergoing a false pregnancy stepped in to become their surrogate mom. The bond between these adorable bottle puppies and their surrogate mama is nothing short of magical. Despite not being their biological mother, this loving dog has embraced them with open paws, providing warmth, comfort, and a sense of belonging. The puppies, once in need of constant care, are thriving under the watchful eye of their surrogate mama. Her maternal instincts kicked in, and she showers them with the love and care they deserve. It's a heartwarming reminder of the incredible capacity for compassion that exists within our four-legged friends. As the weeks pass, the puppies are growing stronger, more playful, and undoubtedly cuter. The rescue organization, overjoyed by this unexpected twist of fate, is ensuring that the puppies receive all the necessary care, vaccinations, and socialization to prepare them for their future homes. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
