Great Dane
Deutsche Dogge, German Mastiff
The Great Dane is a huge dog with a sweet and gentle nature. He needs a lot of space for exercise, though he can be very calm and well-behaved indoors.
Whippet
English Whippe, t Snap dog
The Whippet is a very fast dog, reaching 35 miles per hour at full speed. Despite this, they are fully capable of being quiet and well-mannered indoor pets.
Golden Irish
The Golden Irish is a cross between an Golden Retriever and a Irish Setter. The Golden Irish is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Golden Retriever and a Irish Setter. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the Golden Irish are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. We currently do not have more detailed information for this breed.
Irish Setter
Red Setter, Irish Red Setter
The Irish Setter is one of America's favorite breeds. These dogs are loyal and protective, yet have a playful nature. He needs plenty of room to romp and enjoys being on family outings.
Mutt
A mongrel, mixed-breed dog
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
Cocker Spaniel
American Cocker Spaniel, English Cocker Spaniel
The Cocker Spaniel is one of the most popular breeds in America. They're playful, love people, and adapt to both city and country dwelling. A Cocker needs a lot of exercise, but you'll find it a joy to have around!
