Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler (short coat). MEET MATER!!! Mater is a fun-loving, energetic one year old red heeler. He is shy at first, but he opens up once he is comfortable. He loves playing with his foster sisters in the yard and is good with small and large dogs alike. However, he needs a slow introduction to other dogs at first. He is a very smart boy. He even taught himself how to use the dog door! He knows the basics: sit, lay down, come, stay, etc.). He walks on a leash but could use continued training because he gets so excited to go explore outside. He is a high energy pup and being so smart, will do best in an active home to keep him from getting into trouble. He also loves snuggling on the couch and quiet time in his kennel.
