Description
Dog Breed: Great Pyrenees / Anatolian Shepherd / Mixed (medium coat). Adoption Fee: 250. Meet Chloe — A Gentle Giant with an Even Bigger Heart Chloe is a stunning Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing approximately 95 pounds, with an estimated date of birth of 2023. Beneath her impressive size is a sweet, affectionate girl who simply wants to be near her people. Chloe is the definition of a loyal companion. Wherever you go, she’s happy to follow, content just being part of your day. She has a wonderful mix of playful and loving energy—one minute she’s making you laugh with her goofy zoomies and playful antics, and the next she’s leaning against you for affection or settling in for some quiet cuddle time. She enjoys leisurely walks and is doing very well on a leash, taking in the sights and smells of the world at her own pace. Chloe prefers the comforts of home over a crate and would do best with a family that can provide her with a cozy space where she feels safe and secure. Because of her size and sometimes enthusiastic, clumsy play style, Chloe is looking for a home with adults or older children who are comfortable around large-breed dogs. She would thrive with a family that appreciates her gentle nature and is committed to continuing her confidence-building journey. Chloe has so much love to give and is ready to become someone's loyal best friend. If you're looking for a devoted companion, a gentle soul, and a dog who will love you wholeheartedly, Chloe may be the perfect addition to your family. ❤️ If you are interested in adopting/meeting this pup, please complete our online adoption application at .starfishanimalrescue/adopt/dog-adoption-application. More About Anatolian Pyrenees BreedOverview:
The Anatolian Pyrenees is a large guardian hybrid created by crossing the Anatolian Shepherd of Turkey with the Great Pyrenees from the Pyrenees mountains. Known for their impressive size, often weighing between 80–140 pounds, they carry a thick double coat that provides protection in colder climates. Their temperament blends loyalty, independence, and gentleness, making them devoted family companions while retaining strong protective instincts. Although affectionate with children and calm indoors, their guarding nature and need for space make them better suited to rural or suburban homes rather than apartment living. With proper socialization, they coexist well with other pets, but consistent training is essential due to their intelligence and stubborn streak. Common health considerations include hip dysplasia, joint strain, and bloat, typical of giant breeds. Overall, the Anatolian Pyrenees is a gentle yet vigilant dog, ideal for families seeking a devoted protector.
