Description
Dog Breed: Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler / Mixed (medium coat). Cattle Dog mix female puppy Welcome Lily. Lily is a 10 week old cattle dog pup. She is a little bashful initially but quick to get her wiggle on once she warms up. She’s got beautiful markings and will make for a great companion for someone dedicated to raising a pup right. She would probably benefit from having another dog in the home to help build her confidence and socialization skills. Lily made a quick stop at the rescue ranch yesterday before landing in her foster home. She was tearing it up with all the dogs and having a blast. If you have cats, critters, and livestock now’s the time to introduce. She’s young and only about 16lbs. Lily’s superpower…she hasn’t had a single accident in the house yet and stands by the door to indicate she wants to go out. AMAZING! Lily is microchipped, on a vaccine schedule, and can go home on a spay contract. Lily is in Atascadero, CA More photos, video, and updates: .facebook/.cchdrescue/ search in posts and photo albums. Breed overview
Overview:
A mongrel, mutt, or mixed-breed dog, is a dog that is not the result of breeding within an existing breed or to modify or create a breed and belongs to no breed. In the United States, the term "mixed-breed" is a favored synonym over "mongrel" among many who wish to avoid negative connotations associated with the latter term. The implication that such dogs must be a mix of defined breeds may stem from an inverted understanding of the origins of dog breeds. Pure breeds have been, for the most part, artificially created from random-bred populations by human selective breeding with the purpose of enhancing desired physical, behavioral, or temperamental characteristics. Dogs that are not purebred are not necessarily a mix of such defined breeds. Therefore, among experts and fans of such dogs, "Mongrel" is still the preferred term.
