Posted Breed: Shepherd / Retriever / Mixed. Dex is a special boy with lots of love to give to the right patient and kind family! Dex is likely a Shepherd and Retriever mix, and he loves to play, explore, and snuggle up with his doggy roommates. He is shy with new people and can be a bit unsure of the big, scary world, but he is a lover who eagerly comes running when called and is very comfortable, confident and playful at home around the people he knows and loves. He has been around kids, cats, and other dogs. He respects the cat but will sometimes bark at him, and he likes to play with the big dogs in his foster home. While he was fine with the toddler he's met, he was a bit nervous, so he'd probably do best in a home with older children who understand dogs and can remain more calm. He likes an initial snuggle session with his humans, but then he politely moves to his own space. Dex enjoys swimming and playing with stuffed toys. He is housetrained, is crate trained, and is very food motivated. He would do best in a home with a playful dog buddy and a family with lots of patience and ready to continue his socialization.
