We don't know how she landed there the first time, but was adopted out back in December. After ten months that Adopter stated her resident dog would never accept Ginger and surrendered her back to the shelter. A very full shelter having to make euthanasia decisions while balancing stray holds. Ginger's fate did not look good. That's why we welcomed her to our Rescue! Ginger is a 5 year old red & white Siberian Husky with two beautiful, amber eyes. She is so very sweet and at such a wonderful age where she's done being a crazy Husky and just looking to be your companion. She loves humans so much and follows her fosters everywhere. She is at the sanctuary in NC and does fine with the other dogs. She started out being more of a companion type dog to the others but she followed them around learning the ropes and now loves to play! Ginger would do best in a home with other dog(s) or with someone who will socialize her regularly. She's a vocal gal and a bit of a couch potato. Ginger does not require a fenced yard as long as you're committed to providing her on-leash exercise and potty breaks. We do not permit our Huskies to be off-leash. She did not pass a cat test so no small animals. Ginger would be a great first time Husky for someone looking for a love bug. She is spayed, current on her vaccines and healthy! Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home.
