Griffin was surrendered to Animal Control for being an..... escape artist. A Husky an escape artist? Say it isn't so! ;) With the shelter being at capacity, we transferred him into our program. Our experience with Griffin so far has been quite the opposite. He's actually quite the velcro pup and wants to be wherever you are. He follows us everywhere and will lay on our feet to keep us close by. He's snuggly and sweet and truly just an amazing boy. Griffin is crate trained. He also likes to sing..... loudly. He's house trained and fairly low key. He likes to play with the other dogs and has done well with both male and female large dogs. He'd also be fine as an only dog. He has the classic rough play style that most Huskies have. If you're considering two, he and Cece are buds and make for a nice pair, but do not have to be adopted together. Griffin enjoys hanging out in the yard and taking walks. He walks really well on a leash. He is not small animal friendly. Griff needs humans who will love him lots! He is a companion dog who wouldn't do well with someone out of the home 8+ hours a day. Routine is very important to him. Griffin is located in MD. He is current on his vaccines, neutered and heartworm negative. He's 4 years old. He does have allergies and is currently on medication and prescription food to keep his itching at minimal. He's done very well on it. ~~Husky Education And Rescue Team is a foster based rescue. Our dogs are in our foster homes all up and down the east coast. We do not have a facility in which you can visit. We find this a huge benefit because we learn our dogs and are able to educate our adopters on what it’s like to have them live in your home. Part of our process, once pre-approved, is to speak with the foster for the dog you’re interested in.
