Hi I'm Jessica and the breeder behind Smokey Mountain Vizslas. Our dogs are more than just pets, they are our family members! They run the house during the day and steal all the covers at night. We always welcome people to come and meet our dogs and see if they think this amazing breed is right for them. Most of our breeding lines come directly from Hungary. We are trying to breed true to the original Vizsla and so importing Hungarian born dogs was important to us. We also strive for conformation and health in our dogs. Several of our females are out of titled conformation and competing dogs and a few carry titles of their own! We also do all of the breed club recommended testing. OFA hips, OFA eyes and Thyroid. A healthy, correct, able dog is the goal! Vizslas, also known as the velcro dog, make wonderful pets. Yes they are high energy but they also love a good cuddle on the couch. They want to be with their humans at all times and touching is usually mandatory. They make great companions for active families. Water sports, biking, running, hiking ... you name it and they can do it. Just try to keep up with them! Vizslas are avid hunters, excelling in both pointing and retrieving. They will stand point over birds (or butterflies) and their sleek build and muscular body allows them to fly over the fields for retrieval.
