Rufus Fawn Male 9 Years old Crate trained Dog friendly Loves car rides Great on a leash Well mannered House trained of course Fostered in Woodinville, WA I am a very handsome sweet guy with lots of love to share. I get along with all my doggy friends here--males, females and a little Chi. Laying on comfy dog beds is almost as amazing as the magic food bowl. I am the sweetest Boxer and perfect fur friend to hang around with on those lazy Sunday afternoons. I am looking for a family that is home more often than being away working all day. Taking me to work would be awesome, since I am such a friendly guy I can be a great customer service guy. A retired household might be just the ticket. So, if you want a dog that doesn’t chew things up, knock you over, counter surf like all those young ones do, ... And you just want a guy to spend time with you and lay his head in your lap, showing you how much he loves you, go fill out a app so we can meet. Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Olivia 7 years old Brindle & White Dog Friendly Cat Friendly House Trained Good with Children Fostered in Spokane, WA Hi, My name is Olivia. Everyone who meets me mentions how calm and gentle natured I am. I’ve got more than a bit of spice, but I know what is expected of a “good dog”, and yes I know who that “good dog” is; it is me. I keep my spice in check until it is appropriate and until I really know if I can trust ya. You see, I came from a CA kill shelter and there you only seemed to get a ticket out if you were a nondescript personality type. No questionable or deviant behavior worked. I watched, I learned, I’m a wise girl, and I minded my Ps & Qs (https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mind_your_Ps_and_Qs); as a result, WHBR was allow to spring me! Okay let’s get the important stuff outa the way. I'm between 6-8 yrs old, spayed, house trained, and great with other dogs, but I’m not certain that I understand cats yet. This vexes me a bit, you see. I’m a quick study. I've sat and watched my neighbor Tom. We haven't been introduced, but Tom makes me very excited. I maintain my demeanor and cool, so far, just watching. Other dogs are a breeze, sorta like minions. I’ve got socializing with all my neighbors first thing every morning well under control. Speaking of minions, my foster mom has adapted very well to our routine. She takes me for a morning walk just before breakfast, bags poo with skill, and then fulfills my hunger appropriately once we get home. I'm so thankful to be out of that shelter! Training humans to be a good companion in return is a cake walk. My foster mom thinks I'm pretty great—I cannot tell her she is wrong there! Each morning, I greet her with a wiggle. The more I wiggle, the more she seems to brighten. See that’s when I know my spicy side is welcome and I ask for kisses and snuggles, and I get them. Go figure! These people are easy to figure out. Now that blasted cat, I gotta figure that one out. Mom tells me my forever family will be so happy with me, well, duh. Dang it, back to the stuff humans find important—I don't chew things up, I don't eat the Furniture. THAT’S a plus in itself, I hear. I'm house trained--when I need to go outdoors, I go to the door. Doesn't every good pup? I don't beg for food, again seriously? I don't bark or whine, I do very well in the kennel, how I survived the kill shelter. I’d prefer to be out, but heck we all do what we gotta do. Now, when you come home, all the tables turn: you get all my spice, every wiggle I got, every kiss you need, every hug and love you want; your wish is my command. Put up your feet, give me a lap, and we’ll show ya what you missed today. Every and each time I will greet you with a lot of wiggles, promise. That sounds like a New Dance: the Boxer Wiggle! As long as you learn the rules, and once I’m secure and my future is true, you’ll get a little more spice. I will be your forever friend, who will look up to you, and love you unconditionally. I'm very laid back, calm, and just happy to sit with you on the sofa. BTW, the sofa is where I take my naps and sleep, please don’t forget that important piece. I sleep all night, but every now and then I like to have a midnight snack (I was starved at the shelter, how can it be called that anyway), and then go right back to sleep. I'm very loyal and trusting as well as trustworthy. Seriously, gad with all this you need to know—what about me? I promise to always love you and protect you. I'm always a perfect lady, duh! Otherwise you would not fill out an application and give me what I want, BTW here is the app link bit.ly/WHBRadopt. https://www.facebook.com/pg/BoxerRescue/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1062376677226898 www.Wigglinhomeboxerrescue.org Email: wigglinhomeboxerrescue@gmail.com Phone (360) 723-0219

    Sawyer

    Breed: Boxer
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Sawyer 4 year old Fawn Male Dog friendly, cats unknown Currently in the process of mastering Basic Obedience House trained/ Crate trained Fostered in Eugene, OR Hi everybody, my name is Sawyer! And a better Boxer boy you will not find!! I have a couple of celebrity namesakes, but let me tell you a secret. I am more adventurous than Huck Finn’s friend, Tom, and have more rugged good looks than Lost’s Sawyer and I am not exaggerating! My foster parents have been telling me that I am just beginning to come around and come out of my shell. I don’t exactly know what they mean, but I do know that I am really enjoying this new loving environment! For the first time in as long as I can remember, I am learning that it is okay to just be my good ol’, playful, fun-loving self!! It took a few days, but now my butt is wigglin’! As a matter of fact, I am so happy that my butt comes all the way around and slaps me in the face! My foster dad calls it the “kidney bean” and says my nub twirls so fast that I might take flight like a helicopter! Seeing as how I am such a good boy at heart, they have also told me that they are very excited to see more wonderful personality traits emerge as I become more confident. I get along with my foster fur brother & fur sister quite well. We have been testing the waters to see where we each belong in the pack, and now have just begun to play with each other. I am relatively submissive and will let them dictate just how much fun we can have. My fur sister, in particular, will tell me when enough is enough. I am very polite & back right off. I am a lover, not a fighter! When invited, one of my favorite things in life is snuggling & cuddling with my humans! I am good in the crate and very good when left out at night. I have never chewed anything. I heel and walk very well on the leash when we are trail walking in the woods. I still do well when we are on the nearby bike paths, but not as perfectly. I am learning, though, and getting better with all of the distractions. I mean, it is not easy to maintain my composure as we are walking by a dog park or a playground, and there are so many people on these paths running, walking, & biking. As you might imagine, they are all demanding my attention! I love these walks out my front door, but a trail walk in the woods is the absolute best because then we go for a car ride in addition to the walk! Yes!! I am a very athletic boy who would love to have a lot of activity in my forever home. I think I would do great with a runner, but the good news is that I am not one of these wild-eyed, crazy Boxers who bounce off the walls. I really like any extra activity I can get, but do not absolutely require it to be a good, well-behaved boy in the home. I am currently working on all of the basic commands and am getting them down pretty well. “Off” does not come as easily for me, mostly because I am not yet convinced that my people know what they really want. They know they love me and I sure love them, so it seems to naturally follow that they would want me in their lap or jumping up to be even closer than we already are! I do redirect pretty well, though, and actually do get “off” when told to do so. It’s just not doing it in the first place that is a tough one. Hey, I said I was adventurous and strikingly handsome, you’re not expecting brain surgeon too, are you? The bottom line is that I do love my humans. I am a people-pleaser and also very treat-motivated, so the sky’s the limit for what I am capable of learning! Let’s go for an adventure! What do you say!?! Kojak

    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Kojak 3 year old fawn male 80 lbs. Crate Trained Potty Trained Only Dog Home Fostered in Spokane, WA Who loves ya, baby? That would be Theo Kojak, the bald, lollipop-sucking New York detective who isn't afraid to bend the rules to bust the bad guys. Wait a second! That’s not me! I am not the 1970s New York detective from an American drama series. No. No. No. I’m the tall, fawn, and handsome, bully stick eating, bouncing everywhere boy name Kojak! Just Kojak. I am one tall glass of water coming in at about eighty solid pounds. In my head, I am about 30 lbs, which is why most of the time I do not know where my body is in space. I think it best not to be around small children. You should see me spin and spin when it is meal time. I get to moving and have no idea where I am going to land. Every day I get dressed up for “work” by putting on my freedom harness and backpack. I do like dressing up. I like it a lot! My backpack makes me feel important. When I go out, I carry rice, my person’s phone, water, and poo bags. I will even carry my own poo home so you don’t have to. I figure it is only fair. The backpack helps calm me when I see other dogs. I can get a bit excited and hyper focused. The more I go on walks and practice my good behavior, the better I have become. I have racked up many miles on the “Walk For A Dog” app earning money for my rescue. Practice makes perfect right and I might as well do a good deed while I am at it. I get compliments all the time. I am so handsome, I much prefer to be the only dog in the house. I don’t want others feeling poorly about themselves because I am disgustingly beautiful. While I am at it, please do not bring home a feline. They are just too delicious . . . er, I mean, independent, for my liking. Let it just be you and me. I will gladly crush, I mean, cuddle you on the couch, nudge you while I am bouncing, drool on your floor at meal time, and play with your feet while you are walking. I will fulfill all your needs. No point in spending money on toys because I just do not see the point. However, I will gladly let you mortgage the house for bully sticks. I very much enjoy the softer things in life. I love soft beds that I can stretch out on and a blanket for snuggling. Wherever my blanket is, that is where I will be napping. I am a quiet fellow because I let my looks do the talking so I don’t have to. I also like to communicate through pee-mail. I send messages to all my neighborhood friends while out on walks on this bush and that bush. Reading pee-mail is fun too! Perhaps we could send mail to one another or better yet, move in together. Please send your mail to Wigglin’ Home Boxer Rescue. Remember, it’s not Theo Kojak, just Kojak. Theo already has a family! GREAT as long as I know the house rules Crate trained—phew, I’m working on it, once I’m in I’m good; it’s the gettin’n part Dog door—love it, who wouldn’t Furniture? I believe in couch usage but I prefer my own bed at night Chewing? that's for puppies Barking? only when necessary Grooming? if you must Children? I don’t know, maybe I hear they are small peeps Cats? I’m curious but mom hasn’t let me get close yet Fostered in Medford OR It is my pleasure to introduce Rocko, the four-paw L-O-V-E machine . Honestly, all this lil' man thinks or cares about is gettin’ and givin’ some love. Rocko is the perfect cuddle companion when you’re having a good time, he even brings the whip cream to your mocha. He also brings the extra whip when you are feelin’ low. How is it these goofy Boxer pups can assess our moods faster than we can? Even when he isn’t lovin’ you up, he is diligently watching your cues, waiting by your side, watching to make sure he knows what you’re up to, where you are going, and what to expect next. This boy is rewarded by your touch, your voice, and is eager to show you he is ready for what you need him to do. His primary motive is pleasing you. He learns very quickly just from knowing he has done as you want. Rocko is a super star when it comes to learning new things and commands. He is the perfect gentleman inside the house and he can be trusted not to chew or destroy things. Also, he is great outside also--no digging or chewing of hoses, etc. This Boxer is more attentive than most, which is difficult to achieve because this breed is so tuned in to their people. He listens well when spoken to, especially if you mention a walk or car ride!! He is great on a leash, a simple verbal command will do for correcting a misstep in his behavior. Mr. Rocko is a all around Super Star Ball O' Love! You better get your application in right away, if you haven't already, this kid is gonna get matched right away with a furever family. Teagan

    rescue
    Breed: Boxer
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Teagan Brindle Male 6 Years Old Kid friendly of all sizes Dog and Cat friendly Crate Trained Timid when first meeting people Excellent recall and house manners Fostered in Bend, OR Greetings People, my name is Teagan. I come to Wigglin' Home Boxer Rescue from excellent upbringing. My mom and dad fell upon some very hard times medically. To be certain I would be well cared for, they contacted WHBR. They had cared for me since I was a puppy, teaching me the right way to behave with my Boxer manners. They were sad to give me up, but showed their love for me by picking a great rescue. My foster dad thinks that I am Batman with my beautiful all black mask and my alternating light brown and black stripes. My body isn’t the most svelte, but I’m working on firming up the areas that matter most. I think of myself more as Robin, the trusty sidekick. I like to follow and help keep you company. Dad just wants to build me up to be the hero to make sure that I get all of the credit. Let's discuss my house manners, as everyone says that I have some of the best around. My willingness to share my food dish and take my time eating has gotten praise from my family. If I need to go outside to use the grass, I can even jump up and down and paw at the door handle to get your attention. And once you say, "outside", boy does that make me happy! “Car ride” or “let's go”, man oh man, that makes me twirl and jump. Mom and dad invite me up on the couch, too, when I give them the eye. That’s one of my favorite spots. Sometimes I like to sit right next to you, but not right on top of you like the other kids in the house. That’s not the way mom taught me. The other place I like to hang out with you is on the floor at your feet. I would like to mention my sleeping arrangements. Your bed. Is it nice? Does it have any room for me? Well, of course it does. I don’t take up much room, and I will give you a space to sleep next to me. See, I like to lay down at your feet, don’t worry, I’m very considerate of your needs for space and don’t encroach too much. Can we talk about what I need from you? It’s not much really, just an accepting dog friend, or children, and a fenced in yard to do some light exercise in. I can’t run as fast as most dogs, due to my knees; they hurt if I work out too much. I would even consider being an only child, that’s what my previous arrangement was. Dad here, Teagan is a well behaved gentleman. He is reserved at first when meeting new people, but quickly warms up. He’s not much of a kisser, just loves to wiggle his nub. We have been for a few walks in town on leash, and he does excellent when meeting dogs and people. At home he plays a bit reserved with our dogs, and has excellent recall. He even recalled when his house mates were chasing the local rabbits. Pretty awesome! We have left him out at home for three to four hours with no ill effects. He’s not interested in human belongings besides laying on them. Teagan rides well in the car and gets super excited when the words "Let's go" or "outside". He uses the outside facilities when he needs to. He knows how to get your attention for loves, nudges under the elbow, and just pushes right in. I think Teagan would do very well with a laid back housemate, and children, an occasional walk, and hopefully a daily car ride. Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Figaro 5 year old fawn male Dog, cat, and kid friendly Basic obedience skills House trained Fostered in Billings, MT Update 7/11/17** Sadly, Figaro lost his soulmate Willow recently; they were a bonded pair that had been together his entire life. You’ll note Willow in most of his pictures; she is the beautiful, silver faced girl. With the passing of Willow, Figaro will likely do best in a home with another Boxer female. He enjoys jumping onto a bed to cuddle up with the kids at night, is easy going and eager to please; he is willing to lounge around inside or hang out in the backyard without complaint. Figaro is active and even getting a toe removed hasn’t slowed him down. He loves being taken on walks and is perfect on a leash. Figaro was protective of his girl Willow, but he hasn’t had any problems with other female dogs or little dogs. This guy is very social and calm—we have not heard him bark. He is very treat motivated and has the sit command down pat. Through all his trials, his little butt hasn’t stopped wiggling. Willow and Figaro traveled lots of miles to get to Billings, Montana from California and were perfect angels the entire way. Luckily, the kids are home from school for the summer and pouring lots of love and playtime attention into his soul. It has helped keep him from grieving too deeply, but he is still looking for her. Figaro loves to play in the yard and will be looking for a buddy to romp with. He and Willow each had their favorite toys. Figaro’s are stuffed toys. He is a pawfully perfect pup that will be an excellent addition to anyone’s family. Apollo

    Breed: Boxer
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Apollo 11 Months Old Dog loving Kid loving Neutered Male Tolerates cats Fostered in Spokane, WA Hello there! My name is Apollo, but my foster family seems to sing, “you down with O.P.P, yea you know me,” a LOT when I am around; my youngest human sibling calls me “Oppie” I have been told I can steal your heart in just one glance with my stunning eyes--one blue, one brown. I also have that look that says, “love me”. I am very dog friendly and love playing with my fellow fur brother and sister. The very first day I arrived at my foster home, my fur sister and I hit it off immediately! We played in the yard for a very long time with no problems! I am good at taking social cues from other dogs and being the one who does not have to be dominant. I am able to sit, but that is pretty much the only command I am good at every time. However, I would be very excited to attend dog training school and my foster mom thinks I will be very easy to train as I LOVE TREATS and am always looking to please my humans! Have I mentioned how much I love other dogs? My foster mom thinks it would good for me to have at least one other playmate at my furever house because playing with other dogs is one of my favorite things! I also love playing tug-o-war and fetch, though I don’t always remember to bring it back… Here at my foster home, there is a cat. I haven’t decided what I want to do to that cat, but I sure do want to smell it, maybe really hard. If the cat runs, I usually run after it. Lately, though, I have just patiently stared at the cat while he is on the chair. I have been working really hard on listening when my family says, “leave it”. I patiently wait for my food at meal time along with my other fur siblings. Sometimes though, I get really excited that there has been food left on the counter. If it is a cheat day, I have been known to carbo load (which translates into eating a whole bag of hamburger buns in one sitting). I do also love my fruits and veggies though. Whole carrots are awesome for chew toys, and so are blueberries, bananas, and apples! My family also gives me plain greek yogurt (fat free of course) every morning with breakfast! It keeps a boy healthy for all my play time with my friends! Did I mention how much I love other dog friends to play with? Apollo’s foster mom here! What a great dog! For an almost one year old puppy, Apollo has exceptional manners! He does jump up sometimes when he is very excited, but is easily redirectable and this behavior has decreased tremendously in just two weeks. He has been to the vet a few times and is friendly and allows what needs to be done without any fuss. He easily crates at night but would most likely LOVE to sleep with his humans. He is a cuddle bug on the couch at night and settles down nicely during the day when it is time. He does have a tendency to counter surf. I won’t lie, we lost a lovely dinner and dessert while letting them cool without supervision. He listens closely to his cues and is a pleaser. He does get very excited on leash when there are other dogs. He really wants to go meet and play, so he could use some leash skills. He rides nicely in the car and is all around, an AMAZING catch for his new family. I think it is important that he has a fur sibling who will play with him as he is a busy guy and loves getting his energy out playing with his pals! Posted Breed: Boxer (short coat). Chetta 5 Years Old Female Light brindle and white Long tail Long tongue Children over 8 Prefers to be an only dog or have a small dog friend Super playful No cats No birds Fostered in Portland, OR Hi, I’m Chetta. There has been lots of speculation about my name because of my markings and I am super fast like a cheetah. However, my foster mom thinks that may name might be Chedda for Money because I am so awesome. I am a pretty good size for my age and I love to play. If you are a power walker or even a runner I am your gal. I love to go. I will go to the store, to the local tap room, in the car, and even with you to work. I am strong so I need someone to help me with boundaries and some finishing touches. I know sit and paw. I also know how much you like it when I try to get on your lap when you are on your computer. I am working on recall and staying out on the porch. I love my porch. I can watch over the neighborhood and all who try to pass through my kingdom. I will let you know when there is a squirrel in the area. I love to go on walks and adventures, but I need a strong leader. I’d really like to be an only dog (and believe me I have so much love to give you that who would even want another dog). I redirect easily, but I am slightly wary of larger dogs. Having come to WHBR through a rescue, they aren’t sure what happened in the past. My BFF, Sage the Beagle, and I get along just fine. We even share the same bed and will eat side by side. With a few simple commands, I will go back to being an almost perfect lady. My ideal forever family would be willing to work with me, enjoy just hanging out in the yard, allow me to sleep on the couch, and let me have my own bed downstairs. I am NOT an early riser. I get up to go potty when foster mom leaves for work. I go back and lay on my bed and get back up about 10:30am and pretty much lay around. I have energy but I am not anxious. I need to be reassured around other dogs but I know you love me so that helps. I will sleep at your feet on the couch because I eat fish oil pills for dinner and know it wouldn’t be polite for me to breathe on you if I slept on your pillow. I am so eager to please you and love you. I just need some guidance until I get over my insecurity. If you think I’d be your perfect mate, fill out an application today and come visit me on the porch. Are you ready to open your heart and home? The sky is the limit with me! I have been around cats and have done well. I am dog selective. What does this mean? It means I can’t play or live with just any dog. You can never skimp when trying to find the right roommate. It takes me longer to warm up to new dogs, but once I do, I am a friend for life. I require slow introductions and prefer friends who are gentle in nature. The dog friends I like the most never stare me down or try to dominate me. Those types make my nerves rattle. Since I am so picky about new friends, dog parks are not for me but, on leash walks are right up my alley and I enjoy them immensely! My favorite toys include stuffies of all kinds. Soft toys are so much fun to shake and shake, throw and shake. I am good at fetch for about one throw. I am down for tug-o-war if you think you can handle this mean, lean tugging machine. I play a good game of tug, but I will let you win from time to time just to keep things on the level. Although I like to play, I like the lighter side of life too. Cuddling and kisses are equally enjoyable. In my three short years I have had a rough go of things. I have so much to offer someone who will protect, love and comfort me. I need a little bit of care and guidance and I will give you my whole heart for all the rest of my days. To see me in action, watch my video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoDdCCcv7zY&t=70s. You won’t be able to resist me after this, I guarantee it!
