verifiedPosted Breed: Dogo Argentino / English Bulldog (short coat). Please take the time to read the entire profile. We spend alot of time putting as much info in them as possible. Thank you in advance. Gabby- Gabby is a darling Dogo girl although we were told that she is pure bred, she looks like there could be some english bulldog in there as she is much smaller then the average dogo and she is very bulldoggy. She is a stunning girl with natural tail and docked ears. Her story is tragic and we adore this girl and know she could be so much more then she has been. She is a big girl and has a heart of gold. She is a typical dogo who will do anything for her family and loves them with her whole being. She is an amazing girl and we adore her. She is not huge for her breed, she is a bit on the petite side, but she is a gem all the same. She is a stunning girl, and really thrives to please. Gabby has a tragic story. She was turned into a high kill shelter by her owner. Most big dogs don’t make it out alive, but this shelter tries really hard to save them as best as they can. They were able to find an adopter for her. Sadly the adopter was not taking her for the long term and her room mate didn’t want the dog there. So rather then taking the dog back to the shelter where she would have a chance to find a new home she was going to dump her in a rural area. We were able to reach out to her and offer help. She advertised her on a local free site thinking she would be able to find her a home and it would be better then going into rescue. The reason why rescues work is we put hours of hard work into finding the right home. Not just the first person who wants the dog. She was able to find someone to pay her for Gabby but as soon as she handed her over she was allowed to run loose on a busy street and hit by a car. She then was going to leave her for dead! She called us and informed us if we wanted our dog we were welcome to come pick her up off the street! We rushed as fast as we could and had a good friend in the area come to her aid late at night in a bad area. We are glad we could help her, but wish it could have been done before she had been injured. She is a great girl and deserves so much more then she has had. Gabby is a sweet girl and does well with other dogs once introduced, she does best with larger dogs as she can be pushy with small or fearful dogs. Some dogs she does great with are small, some are larger. She really picks her friends. She is a dominate girl and as most dogos are she picks her friends. She is great with people and does amazingly. She has healed well from her injuries and is back to normal again. She is great with kids and loving. She loves toys and to have a good time. She is mellow and laid back but would also love to go for walks or take a good hike. She is happy doing anything that you ask of her. She is amazing. She is a gem of a girl and we adore her we just wish that we could have gotten her before the accident. She loves to cuddle, hang out and go for rides. She is a happy silly girl who we adore and know someone will love her like we do. She is hit and miss with dogs and will need a home that can do a slow intro with other dogs and give her time to adjust. Gabby is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, spayed and micro chipped. She is a happy healthy girl and only has some small scarring where she is still healing. She came to us really thin and is putting on some much needed weight. She is a great girl and is house broken, crate trained, knows basic commands and loves kids. She is a great girl and we could not ask for a better girl. She picks her friends but normally does well with most large dogs. She is a gem of a girl and we adore her. She is as sweet as can be and we could not ask for more from her. She loves people and would love to have a home of her own. We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area. Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need. https://www.gofundme.com/v2eap2f8 If you would like to adopt this pet please send us an email. Applications will be sent to you via email. We do our best to get back to emails in 24 hrs. If it has been longer then that please resend another email. We would love to hear from you. We welcome any questions that you may have. Our goal is to find the right fit for every home, not just any home! We have been informed that some of the links to email us regarding our adoptable dogs are not working. This has been on going for a few weeks with petfinder and a few other links. If you find this to be an issue that you are having please send an email directly to us at: RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com If you are inquiring on a specific pet we do ask that you put the name of the pet in the subject line. So we know who it is that you are inquiring regarding. Thank you in advance for understanding as we work through this. As with any rescue we are always in need of donations. MANY of our dogs come in with special needs or medical issues. These need to be resolved before going home. If you would like to make a donation toward a dogs medical care you can use our paypal address RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com you can also email us for a physical address. We are always in need of dog food, soft food for some of our special needs dogs, collars, leashes, crates, and toys!

verifiedPosted Breed: Dogo Argentino (short coat). Whisper is a 1-2 year old fun loving girl. She is deaf. Currently trained using hand techniques to communicate. She is dog friendly and hasn't been cat tested so would prefer a home with no cats. Her foster dad would be happy to help you understand the sign language to communicate with Whisper in order to help the family give her commands.Tags:

verifiedPosted Breed: Dogo Argentino (short coat). This darling male Dogo was in rescue almost two years ago. A few weeks ago we got a call from an animal shelter from out of area stating a dog with our chip was with them. Turns out Peteys adopters had to relocated and rehomed Petey , somewhere along the line he got out or was lost from that owner and was found by a woman that kept him for a few weeks before turning him over to the shelter. After some red tape crossing and a very long d rive we got Petey back in our care.Tags:

verifiedPosted Breed: Dogo Argentino (short coat). Bella is a three year old female Dogo Argentino. As you can see, she is an absolutely magnificent girl. Although we primarily rescue deaf dogs, Bella is indeed hearing. Bella has lived with other dogs, but does not do well with smaller dogs, according to her former owner. Although her pictures look very serious, she's relaxed, happy and affectionate. She is also not a demanding dog. She's very smart, and is enrolled in our Basic Obedience Group class and learning fast. We're committed to placing Bella in a home that will stay committed to including her in the family, no outdoor-only homes will be considered. Bella's new guardian will also need to continue her training, and be a protective dog owner who will keep her cherished and safe for life. Advanced dog handling skills will be helpful in the selection of an appropriate forever home. Please do some research on the breed before applying to adopt Bella. Dogo Argentinos are bred to hunt feral hogs and other large animals. They are not recommended for first time dog owners. Adoption applications will be screened with this in mind. If you would like to meet Bella, please complete our online application for adoption: www.deafdogrescueofamerica.org/adoption-application.htmlTags:

verifiedPosted Breed: Dogo Argentino. TITAN is a 4-5 year-old Dogo Argentino. He is sweet, playful guy that get excited and loves to 'pick fleas' off of his people. Titan is deaf, but that doesn't stop him from being the life of the party. He is learning hand signals and has the cutest little squeaky whine - which if he could hear, would know that would need wor!. Titan gets along best with other female dogs. He is fixated on cats, so probably best not to go there. Titan is crate trained, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. Adoption fee $250. For more information or an adoption application, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
