    rescue
    Breed: Doxle
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Beagle / Dachshund / Mixed (medium coat). Mickey and Minnie are great little companions. They are young and active and love the outdoors. They love leash walks, their squeaky toys, and playing with each other. They are shy and a little timid in new situations but adjust quickly. It would be great if they could be adopted together but it's not necessary.. Would not recommend Mickey being placed in a home with cats. He wants to chase them. They get along well with other dogs. They are also good little watchdogs. T They would love to have a family that would give them the love they so richly deserve. Mickey weighs 23 lbs and Minnie is 19 lbs.and they are one year old. Please stop by an upcoming Meet & Greet to find out if Mickey is the right one for you! (Local adoptions preferred — Philadelphia and tri-state area [South Jersey and northern Delaware] only.) Breed: Doxle
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Dachshund / Beagle / Mixed (short coat). Hi there, My name is Lucie and I'm so thankful to have been rescued and been given a second chance at life!! I lived in my previous home most of my life, but then I ended up here. My family said I barked too much and was destructive and had anxiety and sadly, I became too much for them. Now I live here with my foster mom, my foster sisters and brother, all dogs and cats. Foster mom constantly gives me kisses and tells me I'm a good girl, all the time!! That makes me feel really good, happy and loved and builds up my confidence , something that was lacking a little bit. I am crate trained and I do bark in there sometimes, but I'm getting more and more comfortable and Having structure is really helpful with my anxiety AND I haven't been the least bit destructive here!! I know basic commands, I'm very gentle when I get my treats, you can even pet me when I'm eating!! I'm a pretty laid back, gentle, loving dog and ever so grateful for love and life!! I would love to live in a home with older people like me, that live in a house vs apartment, in case I bark when you leave, I don't want to get any one in trouble and I don't want you to not love me anymore. I love walks and I'm friendly with people. I'd really love Someone that will love and keep me forever. Foster mom here... Lucie is a beautiful sweet baby, who LOVES being loved!! She loves to have her own special spot here, to hang out and her own spot to sleep at night. She's a pretty independent young senior dog that just wants to retire with people that will appreciate her wisdom and be open to all that love she has to give. She deserves a good rest of her life in a stable loving home and she'll be forever grateful to you This animal is apart of our "Seniors For Seniors" program where we offer senior adopters an opportunity to adopt a pet at a discounted fee. Name: Lucie DOB: 4/24/2008 Weight: 20lbs Adoption Fee: $125 If you are interested in me, please fill out an adoption application at www.ruffstartrescue.org . An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal. Once we receive your application, a placement coordinator will be in contact with you as soon as possible. Please check out our website, www.ruffstartrescue.org for more details and additional pictures on any of our animals! All Ruff Start dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccines, microchipped, dewormed, and on monthly flea/tick and heartworm prevention (dogs) as well as heartworm tested (dogs). Ruff Start Rescue is a foster based rescue. Animals are located in homes throughout Minnesota. We do not have a facility where animals are kept. Posted Breed: Dachshund / Beagle / Mixed. Sundae is a 1 year old red and white dachshund mix, about 13 lbs. He was rescued from a shelter in mid May- he had been turned in as a stray. Leash trained and enjoys walks, and also does well when walked with another dog. Good with kids. He's friendly, loving, smart, and obedient. Likes playing with toys and with other dogs. He will be a great pal for someone. He has good manners with other dogs- he even took it well one day when a big coonhound insisted on playing with him! He fit right into our rescue and has become a fast favorite. Highly recommended. Are you my furrever family? She's about 8 yrs old, 19# and was rescued at risk from a shelter after turned in by her original family because they had too many dogs. Now she is in the same home that adopted old Grandpaw....and coming along nicely. Really relaxed for the first time on her lawn...after a walk with another dog...5/30/17 Are you my furrever family? Breed: Doxle
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Beagle / Dachshund / Mixed (short coat). Hi everyone, my name is Wally. I am an outgoing guy, I like to meet everyone I see! I am working on my house manners as I have never lived in a house before but I am catching on quickly. I am a pretty quiet guy, I am super smart and I weigh 19lbs. I will not get much larger than that and I have the cutest short legs and loooong body. I am learning about crate training and I am pretty quiet in my crate. I would love a home where I can visit doggy daycare and play all day long or a family where someone would be home to love on me all day long. I would also love a fenced yard, but I am small and used to going out on a leash or tie out so it isn't necessary for me. If you are interested in adding me to your family, please put an application in for me or contact my foster mom for more information at paigeking871@gmail.com All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. Please fill out an adoption application and start the process for your new family member! AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess. BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter!

    Breed: Doxle
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Beagle / Dachshund / Mixed (medium coat). If you are interested in adopting this dog, please download and complete an Adoption Questionnaire: and email to Dena at DenaE@k-9lifesavers.org You can also find the adoption questionnaire by visiting our website: http://k-9lifesavers.org/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/2016application.docx-1.docx. You can learn about the adoption process by visiting: http://k-9lifesavers.org/how-to-adopt/. Dog's Name: Dottie Estimated Breed : Beagle/doxie mix Approximate Age: 5-6 yrs Approximate Weight: 10 - 12 lbs Currently Living at: BOARDING Adoption Fee: $375 DOG'S DESCRIPTION This poor girl was owner surrendered along with her sister, Maize. They had lived inside their whole lives. How sad for these poor dogs to suddenly be abandoned. They did nothing to deserve this. They do fine with older dogs and are good with people. Dottie would love to find a home with her sister Maize (but not necessary) !! Dottie is a bit more shy than Maizy and follows Maizy's lead. Their prior owner didn't keep these girls on heartworm (HW) preventative and now have been diagnosed HW positive. K-9 Lifesavers will cover the cost of treatment, but these girls will do much better going thru treatment in a furever home. Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets. Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.
