    Breed: Mastiff
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: Yakima, WA
Posted Breed: Mastiff / Saint Bernard (short coat). Please take the time to read the entire profile. We spend alot of time putting as much info in them as possible. Thank you in advance. Radar- Radar is a stunning guy. He is a huge English mastiff, saint Bernard mix who we think may have a little Anatolian in him. He is a big guy with a heart of gold. He is a stunning orange and white with natural ears and docked tail. He is a great dog who just needs a home that will love him for who he is. He is a big dog and needs an owner that will set down rules for him as he is smart and likes to know what he can and can not do. He is a great dog who really is a charmer to be around. We adore the big lug. Radar came to us when his family could no longer take care of him. He had been turned into a shelter when he was younger as the family that he had did not have a fence and he had been caught in a bear trap. He lost one toe due to it and had a scar on his head but escaped pretty uninjured considering. The family really did want what was best for him but was not one that could set down firm rules and he thought he was supposed to be the one in charge. All he needed was a leader. He is a great dog and a family that has big dog experience that can give him rules would make an amazing family pet. He is amazing and just wants to be somenes best friend. Radar just wants to be part of the family. He does good with kids over 5, as he can be a big of a bull in a china shop. He doesn’t always watch where his feet are. He does good with other dogs and was often taken to the dog park. If his has an owner that makes sure he is not in control he would do great at the dog park. He loves to go for walks, rides, and just hang out. He is good with cats and loves to just hang out. He is a couch potato and a hiking buddy. He just wants to please. He is amazing and we adore him. He will wiggle his way into your home and your heart. He is a great dog and we adore him. Radar is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and altered. He is micochipped and a happy healthy guy. He is house broken, crate trained, does well on leash, loves to hang out and just a great dog. He is a happy go lucky buddy and would love to watch you garden or work in the shop. He does well with other animals and is just a great dog. Once he knows that he is not the boss he is happy to do what ever he is asked. He knows basic commands and is happy to listen to them. He loves to cuddle and snuggle on the couch. He is a great dog who just wants a family of his own. We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area. Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need. https://www.gofundme.com/v2eap2f8 If you would like to adopt this pet please send us an email. Applications will be sent to you via email. We do our best to get back to emails in 24 hrs. If it has been longer then that please resend another email. We would love to hear from you. We welcome any questions that you may have. Our goal is to find the right fit for every home, not just any home! We have been informed that some of the links to email us regarding our adoptable dogs are not working. This has been on going for a few weeks with petfinder and a few other links. If you find this to be an issue that you are having please send an email directly to us at: RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com If you are inquiring on a specific pet we do ask that you put the name of the pet in the subject line. So we know who it is that you are inquiring regarding. Thank you in advance for understanding as we work through this. As with any rescue we are always in need of donations. If you would like to make a donation toward a dogs medical care you can use our paypal address RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com you can also email us for a physical address. We are always in need of dog food, soft food for some of our special needs dogs, collars, leashes, crates, and toys!

    Location: Newcastle, ON
Posted Breed: Mastiff. * ADOPTION PENDING *Hi I'm Khali and If you are into naps I might be just the girl for you! Don't get me wrong everyone enjoys a walk around the neighbourhood and my leash manners are fantastic, but I prefer to leave most of that "exercise" stuff to the younger generation! I really would much rather hang out around the house with my people and am also good with other calm easygoing dogs. I'm not a big fan of the cats they have in my foster family's house (although they keep insisting that they are allowed to be here) I'm pretty sure I'd like to chase them out so if you are for me you probably won't have any of those "felines" in your house! My foster family has given me a nice cushy bed in the living room and another in my bedroom since I have very nice manners and do not even try to get up on the furniture (I think it's too much like work to climb up). If I may make one request I much prefer to have free run in the house or have a room of my own, and get quite upset if locked in a crate...those are for dogs not ladies like me!! The great thing about us "mature" ladies is we do not chew on things like puppies do, I certainly would never mess in the house and I'm more than happy to snooze and take care of the house while you are away at work earning cookie money for me!! Speaking of food I have excellent table manners and have no problem with people being near me when I'm eating, and am happy to do anything you ask to get treats! I do love having company young and old and win the heart of everyone I meet, my foster mom says I am just such a sweet dog she can't imagine how anyone could give me away. Oh and Shhh don't believe what they say I'm not 10...I'm 1, with 9 years of experience :)KHALI IS BEING FOSTERED IN~ Penetanguishene

    Breed: Mastiff
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: Kanab, UT
Posted Breed: Mastiff (medium coat). Postre has the sweetest soul. You can see it in his eyes. He also has an adorably squishy face. He's easygoing and doesn't complain about anything. Born in 2014, Postre is still learning lots of new things. He loves being praised and tries his hardest to do what he's asked even when he gets distracted. While he can be highly excitable on a leash, his caregivers are working with him on it. Postre's a little picky with his doggie friends and prefers females. He'd be happy in a home with the right doggie friend or as your only furry friend.

    Zoey

    Breed: Mastiff
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: Yakima, WA
Posted Breed: Mastiff (short coat). Please take the time to read the entire profile. We spend alot of time putting as much info in them as possible. Thank you in advance. Zoey- Zoey is a darling English mastiff girl. She really has a sweet personality and wants to be someone’s best friend. She has had such a tragic start and was nothing more then a income maker. She deserves a family that loves her for who she is. She is a stunning fawn girl, she has natural ears and tail. She is just over 100 lbs, as she was bred every heat of her life and was stunted. She is a great girl and loves everyone. She has won the hearts of everyone that meets her and we know that she will blossom in the right home that can show her the love she deserves. She is an amazing girl and we adore her. She loves attention and loves to be spoiled. She deserves to be the princess in someone’s home. Bruno and Zoey came to us from a puppy mill. They had bred them together every heat of zoeys life. They were living outside in filth, feces and mud up past their feet and covered in fleas, parasites, and open wounds. They came in with multiple open wounds, sores, and infections. Both had double ear infections, upper repertory due to living in such filthy conditions and were very under weight. The family that had them decided that they were not worth feeding or caring for now that they were no longer producing puppies. These two did not come from a large scale puppy mill, but a small home with a few breeding dogs who were selling as back yard breeders. Its important to remember when you support back yard breeders its dogs like this that suffer. These two barely made it out alive. Zoey is a gem. She has done great with dogs, cats and kids. She came to us a mess but has healed nicely, gained weight and really blossomed. She is learning about toys but still isn’t sure about them. She knows that she loves soft beds and to be where ever you are. She would do amazing in a home with another dog as she has never been alone in her life, as she was always either with her mate, or babies. She loves to go for walks and is getting better at riding in the car. She had no sea legs, and did best in a crate when we transported her. But her desire to be with you means she would learn anything you asked her to. She is a great girl and we adore her. She loves to be snuggled and told she is a good girl. Those things that all dogs deserve she never had. Zoey is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, and altered. She is house broken and doing great with crate training. She loves soft beds, couches, and blankets. She loves treats but is learning how to play with toys. She does great with dogs, cats and even kids. She is in a foster with a toddler and done great. She does ok on leash, and is learning basic commands and doing great. She is super smart and loves cookies. She is a sweet laid back girl who would love a great home and a family that loves her. We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. Breed: Mastiff
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: Yakima, WA
Posted Breed: Mastiff (short coat). Please take the time to read the entire profile. We spend alot of time putting as much info in them as possible. Thank you in advance. Cooper- Cooper is a stunning fawn English mastiff guy. He is a big boy and has a sweet personality. He can be a bit of a moose at first so a home with mastiff experience would be best. He is a stunning dog with natural ears and tail. He is a big boy and as he fills out he is getting bigger and bigger. He is a great dog and we adore him. He is playful and getting more and more so each day. He just didn’t know how to play with us when he came. He is a silly guy who we just adore. He is amazing. He just needs a good home that can give him rules, boundaries and a lot of love. Recently we took in a number of dogs from another rescue. These dogs were taken in by them and we did not get the full stories on many of them and their histories, as it seemed the rescue disbanded and these dogs were left with out any options. We do not pass judgment when helping dogs and will help dogs when in need. Many of these dogs came to us severely Emaciated. They also had wounds, abscesses, and parasites. We are getting them back to health and as we do we are getting to know them better and better. Gaining the amount of weight many of these giants needed is a slow process, and many of them will need to continue to gain weight for months still. Healthy weight takes time. We try not to gain more then 10 lbs a month of healthy weight. Some of these dogs were 60-70 lbs under weight. These are amazing dogs who deserve a great chance at a wonderful life. These dogs are amazing and cherish every shred of love, grain of food, and soft place to lay. We want nothing more then to give them a wonderful place and family to love them, and make their holiday wishes come true. Cooper is a great dog and we adore him. He is really a happy go lucky guy who would do best in a home with no other dogs but would also do well in a home with other dogs if the adopters took time to adapt him to a new home. He acts as if a lot of other dogs have attacked him and he is fearful at first. He is a great dog and does really well with people. We do not know how he does with cats, being that he came in from a kennel situation we feel that he was never exposed to them. We have been working with him on cats and have seen some promising behaviors. However he is not going to be a dog that can be tossed in with cats. He will need time and training. He has learned to leave the cats at his foster home alone, but they are all inside and are dog savy. So he will need a home that is going to put the work in with him and cats. We do not think he would do well with small dogs as he is reactive with dogs, and a small dog would likely be seen as prey. So as with most dogs he may adapt with enough training. He is a great dog who really just needs a good home that will love him. He is smart and willing to please. He just needs a good home that will teach him how to be an amazing pet. Cooper is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, altered and just a great dog. He is a happy healthy guy now that he is gaining some weight and doing better. He has gained over 50 lbs! He just may need to be watched around food as he has learned to eat as fast as he can. He is a great dog and we adore him. He is learning so much and is doing well with house breaking, crate training and even learning basic commands. Hes done great with people but can be pushy, So we suggest kids over 10, or larger kids that can not be pushed around. He would love to have a family active in his training. He is a great dog and we adore him. He loves to have a good time, and loves to play. He is still a puppy at heart and will play tug and chase for hours. He is a great dog who we adore and know he will find an amazing home. We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. Posted Breed: Mastiff (short coat). Please take the time to read the entire profile. We spend alot of time putting as much info in them as possible. Thank you in advance. Holly- Holly is a stunning older mastiff girl with a heart of gold. She has had such a rough start and deserves a soft home to lay her sweet head. She is a big girl with a stunning fawn coat, black mask, and some frosting on her face. She has really filled out since being in foster and is really just blossoming into a great dog. She is a great girl who is very scared and needs a home that understands how to work with a dog who has clearly been abused and fearful. She is an amazing girl and we adore her. Holly is a great girl. She came to us from a high kill shelter where she was for over a month with no one stepping forward. As is normal for mastiffs in this shelter, even though there are large breed rescues in this area, dogs who are not considered quickly adoptable are often put down. She is a sweet girl but very scared. We do not know much about her past. She was picked up as a stray. She acts like she has been left in a back yard with very little interaction with people. She is pretty independent but loves attention. She is a great girl who just needs a chance to be an amazing dog like we know she will be. Holly is a doll. She loves attention but doesn’t know how to ask for it yet. She was clearly not a loved family pet, she deserves so much more. She does great inside, amazing with other dogs, and has even been around cats and done well. She is timid of new people so we suggest a home with no small kids, or at least respectful kids as she is not aggressive just scared. She loves attention but doesn’t know how to ask for it. She is a great dog and will be worth gold to anyone who is willing to look past her fear and help her become the amazing dog we know she can be. Holly is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, altered, and microchip. She is doing great with house breaking, crate training, leash work but is still very scared. We feel that she had never been on leash till she came to us. She does great in a yard but has never seen a doggy door. She is a nervous girl who loves her crate and bed. She loves anything soft. She does not know what toys and treats are. So she needs a home that can show her the good things in life. She is a great girl and we adore her and know she is going to be an amazing dog for the right family. We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can.
