Posted Breed: American Bulldog (short coat). Rez is a big huge lover boy who is about a year old and weighs around 75 lbs. He adores my children and does really well with the his foster's 2 dogs.

He has been introduced to cats at and is not really sure what to make of these small creatures that make funny noises but he has not made any aggressive move towards them at all. He does get a little overly interested and starts following them but you can tell him no and he listens. The older cat who has will gently nip at him to let him know to back off and he does. He is completely housebroken and we are working on being in a crate. He goes in and out of the crate willingly throughout the day he just isn't a fan of the door being closed. As far as house manners he still has a little to learn but you rarely have to correct him more than once and he is very sensitive to the tone of your voice. He is very very timid and just wants to make you happy. As long as you clearly communicate in his terms what you want he will do it. We would not recommend him for a house with very small children that are not accustomed to large dogs only because he is big and a bit clumsy and could knock them down but he really loves to interact with kiddos. When he first met his foster's youngest, he crouched down on the ground in front of the little girl to make himself look smaller. In a household with very dominant dogs, he would just fade into the background and could easily be bullied. He is a serious couch potato who would benefit from somebody that will encourage exercise with him and I don't think he will be anybody's jogging partner. We have not heard him bark a single time since he has been here, which hasn't been long but we do not believe he is a barker. ** Please complete the application to ADOPT at http://www.codysfriendsrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/ We do home checks and have a 10 day in-home trial period before finalizing the adoption. Our standard adoption fees cover spay/neuter, microchip, vaccinations, vet check and heartworm test. Our dogs are current on heartworm preventative. His adoption fee is $250.
