She enjoys a soft bed or lap. Clara enjoys lots of toys and chew bones. She is active and enjoys running in the yard and in the house running and exploring. Clara is good at:meeting people, meeting dogs, staying in a crate, cuddling, playing Ideal home: a confident male dog, a fenced yard,Lots of exercise opportunities, other: friendly adult dog Training Needs:She's almost completely housebroken. She will go to the back door to let you know but has had an accident or two right at the door. Health issues:Clara has a very slight etropian (lower eyelid curl) that was fully checked by a vet. Surgery was not needed but she does need vaseline applied to her lower eyelid and another vet check in a year. Clara also needs monthly heartworm pills that all dogs should get for prevention as well as topical frontline or similar to ward off fleas and ticks. Meet Clara Clara is everything you would desire in a puppy. She is friendly and affectionate. She is a little shy when she meets a new person sometimes but a soft happy voice and a little bit of sitting next to her petting her will quickly win her heart! Once she knows you she will look to be pet and hugged and cuddled. Clara loves many kinds of toys. She likes big bones, rubber bones, tug toys and a soft dog bed. Clara cuddles with her senior foster sister, Lucy and tears around with her feisty foster brothers Oliver and Bruce. They play chase and roll around and play tug of war with a rope toy many times a day. Clara is trained to stay in a pen when alone and does well. Her foster mom loves her calming cuddle and really enjoys watching this once painfully shy pup run and play. She is a very sweet dog. She is not mouthy biting or pushy. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
