Fees will be updated soon, to reflect the spay or neuter cost. All fee changes must go through the city council first. At this time, all animals adopted are spayed or neutered prior to adoption courtesy of a spay/ neuter fund that has been established at Middletown Animal Hospital. If the animal is not altered prior to adoption, a refundable deposit of $40.00 will be charged and refunded upon proof of spay or neuter. Find Animal Control on 6820 Old Highway 53, Clearlake, CA, turn down Airport Road, just past Valley Glass, on the right to enter the parking lot. Animal Control Officer hours are 7 days a week from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Emergency calls are handled by police personnel when animal control officers are not working.
