s a bit of a shy girl but very sweet and warms up to new people quickly, then wants to get in close and give kisses. She is housetrained and has excellent indoor manners, just lays down near her people and waits for belly rubs and head pats. Daisy does not get along with cats so she would do best in a home without kitties. She is otherwise 100% passive, gentle, and non-aggressive. I haven’t seen her play with other dogs yet so not sure how she would do in a home with other dogs. We have a couple doggie play dates lined up so I’ll report back after these interactions. She’s done great with dogs we’ve passed on our walks so I think she would do just fine. She seemed curious but remained calm and showed no signs of dominance/aggression. We are currently working on leash training and a few general doggie manners but she is already a pretty well-behaved girl. She does jump occasionally if excited but is overall, a pretty mellow pup. zzDaisy is spayed, up-to-date on all of her shots, and also heartworm negative. She is also currently on heartworm and flea preventatives. She likes toys but the tougher, more resilient toys like Kongs or rawhides will last the longest with her. She likes to pull the stuffing out of the squeaky toys and then she’s done with them. She is good around children over the age of about 5 but I’m not sure how she would act around toddlers. She is a bit timid and very sensitive, though not hand-shy at all (I think she was scolded often by her previous owner). I assume she would think she was being scolded if a younger child slapped at her, pulled her tail, or playfully shrieked at her, though I don’t think she would attack, just slink off to another part of the house upset with her tail between her legs. I believe the timidness will tone down after a little more socializing and after she builds up trust and security with her new humans, and that she’ll be a wonderful edition to someone’s family.
