Billy, but my name is Adam. I love dog parks, car rides, going on sniffathons, relaxing in bed, cuddles, being your shadow, supervising your bathroom visits…stealing your food from the table when you turn around (pretend you did not read that last part). But in my defense, I only weighed 40 pounds when I was picked up from the City of San Antonio shelter, so I am doing my part to put that weight back on my bod. You know that ole cliché, you cannot judge a book by its cover. I totally agree. To truly judge a book, you need to nibble it, chew on a few pages, see how it tastes. I ate a book and I liked it. Foster Mom says I have starved kid syndrome and will eat anything in sight, so she trades me rawhides and chewy treats for her papers, but if you need to actually use the excuse “the dog ate my homework”, I am there for you babe. I have the cool white knight physique and adorable spotted nose of a Dogo Artgentino, but I am not as huge framed, so I am likely mixed with something smaller, perhaps a pocket Pitbull. Foster Mom is unsure if she should relay that I am good with cats, because I like to lick them, she is unsure if this is a taste test or invitation to play, so for right now, let’s say, no to cats because I do like when they hiss at me. I am 3-4 years old and an active guy. I would thrive in a home with a yard for play time, but also a huge couch for my cat naps…er uh, dog naps in my case. I am strong on a leash, but Foster Mom says I am NOT “the worst” she has experienced. I am in a Foster Home with other dogs, but did do slow intros. I do great at public places like dog parks, but I become more protective when at home. I am potty trained, but still working on getting the check mark on crate training. I am shy at first with people, but if you exchange treats for my love, I will take that trade and then you get to see my goofy ball side. I have been a good boy around kids. So far the only command I know is SIT. I hope you know the command for rubs, because when I roll over to show my belly that means rub it. I also like a good back scritchin and full body massage, but who doesn’t? I really really just want to be beside my people at all times, when my Foster Mom leaves I get anxious…IS SHE EVER COMIN BACK??? ‘Member that one time when I was litterally abandoned at a shelter…maybe I will chew on this, but not this stuffy toys…I like it too much…all these thoughts…but then she returns, so I am learning that people that love you do come back. If you are the type of person who wants a most loving and silly guy to be besties to, you will LOVE me. So please email ApplicationsGodsdogsrescue and tell them you want ME!
