for a super sweet pup that comes microchipped, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, and full of lots of love! This extra special adoption donation won't last and neither will this special dog...better hurry before this is sniffed out! Keep reading to learn more about our wonderful chocolate girl! Namaste! Are you looking for an easy going companion that wants to share positive energy and happiness with you? This milk chocolate girl is Yoga, and she is as sweet as her coloring! Yoga is a 2 year old Lab and Pit Bull mix. She came to Labs and More with her litter of puppies. They have all found loving forever homes and now she's ready to find one of her own. Yoga is a good natured girl who loves everyone she meets. Fostered with several other dogs, Yoga has made many new friends. Still, she is patient in getting her share of attention. She plays and sleeps side by side with her foster canine siblings. Her favorite time of the day - besides dinner of course - is her walk time. Grab her leash and she will be right there ready to go. She likes to lead the way because she is so gung-ho for adventure. Yoga is a very happy go lucky girl who would love a family who will take her for walks or even a run. She loves to get out and socialize with people and dogs, but she does chase salamanders in her backyard so we think a home with no small animals or cats would be best. Yoga loves treat time and takes them ever so gently when offered. She is a quiet girl who rarely barks and her foster mom thinks she would do well in an apartment as long as she got plenty of physical and mental activity. If you are looking for a loving dog to join you on walks, hikes and runs, play fetch with, and take along for all sorts of fun adventures, Yoga could be the dog for you! This information is as up to date and accurate as possible for the dog in its current environment. All dogs and puppies will need time and training to adjust to their new surroundings and to learn the rules of their new home. If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, the first step is to complete the Adoption Form on our website at .labsandmore and take some time to review our adoption process. Your adoption includes the spay or neuter, current vaccinations, microchip, and other services provided while in our care. Please understand everything we do is for the dogs and conducted by our kind and generous volunteers. We rely solely on donations, and we do not profit from a dog's adoption. 1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
