get the family into rescue with the help of another rescue so the entire family could be safe. Sadly, Wade was so shut down and petrified of the world that it was impossible to get close to him to be able to get him out of the shelter. It took almost two months before a volunteer was able to get him into her car and drive him straight to us in MD where he is now safe and sound in his foster home. Wade was definitely the most fearful of the siblings, refusing to make eye contact and shaking with every step. He had never encountered human touch and affection. We were confident that with time, he would learn to trust and realize he was safe. Wade deserved a chance at life and he has really come a long way. He absolutely loves to play with other dogs and really comes out of his shell with them. He has learned to walk on a leash and is building his confidence with every passing day. He has such a fun and goofy personality when he finally settles in. Wade is both house and crate trained and learning what it means to be a dog. He would do best in a home with other social and confident dogs to help him continue to build on his own confidence. He would love a family that is patient and understands that he just needs a little time to learn what is expected of him. We cannot wait to see how he will flourish in the right home that is wiling to give him a chance. Wade is only a year and a half so he has his whole life ahead of him to bond and be part of a family of his own.
