He was in a local Minnesota shelter waiting to be rescued. Once coming into rescue, we found out Kane was sick We took him to the vet to find FORTY stones blocking his urethra and a massive bladder! Kane had surgery to remove the stones and is now doing great! Kane is a sweetheart. He has the energy of a puppy, so will do best with an active family or an area to burn off his energy. Kane does great with other dogs, and would love to have another dog around to play with. He does like to chew things, so should be crated or confined when his family is away. He also loves to be near his people, and thinks he is a lap dog! Although Kane is doing great now, he will will need to be on a special food ( Royal Canin UC Low Purine) the rest of his life to manage his cystine stones, which will be an added expense. He is worth it though! If you are interested in a playful, fun dog that does great with humans and other dogs, then Kane is your guy!
