y, playful, and loving young girl who gives constant kisses to her loved ones. She enjoys cuddling on the couch with you and is well behaved in the home. Baby had a horrible past and had to compete for food as she tried surviving the harsh streets with other dogs on a daily basis. Baby is dog friendly, and was even in play group for a whole day, where she had been assessed and passed with flying colors. In a home with another dog, Baby’s adopter would have to be patient with Baby laying on her or the other dogs food, as she went without food in her prior living situation. Feeding separately would be mandatory if there was another dog in the home. Monitoring toys and bones at the beginning, just until Baby learns that she will never go without again. If Baby is the only dog in the home, then no need to worry about toys, bones and feeding. Baby is an absolute gem of a dog that loves everyone she meets and walks great on a leash and loves going on walks. Baby also loves having a home with yard to run and play in, or a townhouse, where she could have even a yard or patio where she can bask in the sun. Baby will be an amazing addition to any loving family wanting to open their heart and home to a gorgeous female Staffordshire terrier. Baby is spayed, microchipped, current on her vaccinations and received a comprehensive fecal test and deworming. If you're interested in adopting Baby, please fill out an application at .doggiebonez. You can also check out our social media pages on Instagram (Doggie_Bonez_Inc_) and Facebook (Doggie Bonez) to see more of Baby's cuteness. Our adoption fee for dogs, which includes vaccinations, fecal testing, wellness exams, microchipping, spaying, or neutering, is $500. If adoption isn't feasible, please consider fostering one of our pups. We are a volunteer-run non-profit dog rescue and always welcome new short or long-term doggie foster families. Doggie Bonez will provide you with everything you need, including dog food, a bed, toys, medical attention (if required), and more. So, if you're interested, please visit .doggiebonez to see all of our available dogs who need a foster family while waiting for their forever home and complete the foster application.

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
