chihuahua mix, but her 3 puppies, Hugh, Heath, and Naomi, look like tiny Australian shepherd mixes. They are also here with chihuahua cousin Miles.
Hugh and his siblings are spayed/neutered and have their rabies shots. They need just one more puppy shot, due Jan 25. If adopted before then, his family will bring him back here for the shot.
He was the first of his siblings to enjoy being carried around. And he's the best at posing for pictures! He's an active, playful, happy, loving, and intelligent little guy. Lately, he's started his puppy teething, so make sure you have toys handy so he doesn't teeth on you!
*For all our little puppies, we ask that new owners be able to be home often, at least at first, because of the time and attention that a new puppy needs. Hugh will need to learn housetraining and leash walking.
**Also note that puppies are at the highest end of our prices.
Siblings Naomi and Heath are also ready for adoption now. Naomi looks like Hugh. Heath is handsome black and reddish combo. All very dear puppies. They also have a chihuahua cousin named Miles. Email application. Lots of interest in these cuties. Be sure to include any info about other pets, how long any puppy would be home alone on any given day, ages of children..... THanx!

For further info on the adoption process, please visit our home page and check out the "Adopt a Dog" section, which has thorough instructions. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.
Our prices are higher than the shelters' because we nurse the dogs through their illnesses and get them needed surgeries. Also, unlike shelters, rescues do not get financial aid from the government and must rely on donations, grants, and adoption fees. Our fees start at $150 and go up to $750. The higher end is for our most in demand dogs, such as puppies, young beagles, and hard-to-find purebred dogs. The lower end is for dogs that have been here for a while. Because we are a charity, the fees for our dogs are officially "donations" and are therefore tax deductible. You can think of it as donating to a worthy cause and getting a dog in return!
The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs. Email your application and ask for more details.
