Lively Loyal Lovable LUNA Lovely Luna is a Mini/Small Standard Aussie-Border Collie mix who is a happy, healthy bundle of fun looking for a home and a new best boy-buddy dog! Luna loves activities: walking, jogging, racing around a yard or park, retrieving a ball, swimming and hiking - if it’s an outdoor activity where she can be Her Best Busy Self then Luna is All In! Luna is also a snuggly lovergirl; she enjoys belly rubs, ear scratches and spooning next to her human. She loves to be kissed and give kisses to whoever will take them! Luna can also easily chill out; she will cuddle up on your feet to keep you warm and hunker down next to you during a storm or power outage. Sometimes those noises scare her but as long as she’s with her pack she is just fine. Luna is extremely likable and friendly with new friends - both human and furry! And furry humans She will jump right on in to play with other dogs at a park or play-date or dog-event. Luna hasn’t met another dog she doesn’t love and other dogs really love her disposition, too! Luna is eager to please and very responsive to training; whether performing what she knows or learning new tricks Luna is tuned in and focus and loves to show off her latest accomplishments!! Luna is most comfortable lying on a cool tile or wood floor upside-down w all 4 legs flailing about, a very typical Aussie trait. Luna has been an indoor pet who is well-behaved, crate trained and housebroken. She prefers no crate unless door left open to chill in. She’s used to having a human around at least part of the day and will also be a great canine companion for a fun, young similar-energy male dog-brother. Luna’s border collie side outweighs her Aussie just a bit because she’s very ball-driven and loves to race other dogs to catch a ball, frisbee or even a low-flying drone if she thinks she can catch it! Our philosophy is to rescue highly adoptable dogs, have them live kennel-free in private homes for temperament assessments and individual personalities. We work hard to match EACH dog with the right family - kids or no kids, other dogs male or female and/or cats. With very rare exceptions all dogs over 6 months will be spayed or neutered PRIOR to adoption - dogs under 6 months will include a spay/neuter date AND referral info for lower-cost surgery if the adopter does not choose to use her or his personal vet. OUR VETS WILL NOT PERFORM SPAY NEUTER SURGERIES UNTIL DOG IS 6 MONTHS OLD. Please READ ALL of our info below BEFORE SENDING APPLICATION.
