sy is a stunning Australian shepherd girl. And oh is she smart. This girl never ceases to amaze us. She has come so far and we love working with her. She is a breeze to train and would love a home where she can have a job. She is a stunning black and tan with a little white. She has natural ears and tail and is smart as can be. She is a stunning girl and solid as a brick. She is a great girl and still so very young. She is not even a year yet and still has been through so much. She is a great girl and we adore her. She is still young so she would love an active home that can challenge her mind and her body. She is an amazing girl. She is a smart girl and would love a home that can build her brain as well as do things with her. Daisy came to us when her family could no longer take care of her. She was sold to the family with her brother. Siblings are so very hard to raise together and this family did not have a lot of experience with the breed much less siblings. She had been allowed to act out and had no training. She was simply to smart for her own good. The family was out of options and considering putting her down as she was the one who they felt was the problem. However most smart dogs can be seen as a problem if they have no outlet for their smarts. She is an amazing girl who learns fast and loves to have a job. Daisy is a great girl. She is super smart and loves to please. She is a little aloof at first, since she was not socialized as a pup. So she needs a family that will work with her and give her a little time to adapt. She has done amazing with dogs and cats and loves to play. She is a herding dog, so she will try and herd small kids, so a home that has experience with this, or has no small kids to herd around the yard. Once she knows you are hers, she is devoted for life. She is an amazing girl who we know will make a great forever friend for the right home and family. She is an amazing girl. She just loves to be part of the party and would do amazing in a home that kept her mind and her body busy. So if you are looking for a partner in life this is your girl! She loves to play with other dogs and has done great with almost all dogs. She just needs a friend! Daisy is sweet as can be. She is up to date, dewormed, flea treated, altered and ready for a new home. She is house broken, crate trained, knows some basic commands and does ok on leash. She is a fast learner so anything you teach her she is happy to learn. She loves to be with her people and loves to just be near them. She also loves to go for walks, rides, and have a good time. She does good with other dogs, cats and even people once introduced. She is a smart girl with a zest for life and wants to please. Lets find her an amazing home where she can be the great dog we know she will be. She would do great in any home that will keep her body and her mind busy! We spend a lot of time trying to get to know the dogs in our program as best as we can. This means that we have spent time introducing them to dogs, cats, kids, animals, people and as many things as we can. We try to do as much as we can to evaluate them, both with in our group and if the dogs come from other rescues or shelters their evaluations as well. However dogs are individuals and will react to different situations differently. This means that we do not know how a dog will react in every situation. We give out our best guess based off information provided but the handler of a dog and the way they are introduced to a situation makes a huge impact. So if you have any questions of how to introduce a dog to your home, please let us know and we will provide as much info as we can from pamphlets to helping find a trainer in your area. Our rescue aims to help dogs who are passed by and over looked by most rescues and people. We help the dogs who are in need of medical care, vetting, training and breeds that most will not help with. In most shelters if you are large dog, a big dog, or a male dog; from the moment you walk in you are on barrowed time. If you have docked ears or are a guardian breed your time was over before you walked in the doors. We aim to save these dogs and give them a second chance. Please help us save more lives by helping with our medical bills as they grow. This year has already been hard and we have many medical dogs in need. https://www.gofundme.com/v2eap2f8 If you would like to adopt this pet please send us an email. Applications will be sent to you via email. We do our best to get back to emails in 24 hrs. If it has been longer then that please resend another email. We would love to hear from you. We welcome any questions that you may have. Our goal is to find the right fit for every home, not just any home! We have been informed that some of the links to email us regarding our adoptable dogs are not working. This has been on going for a few weeks with petfinder and a few other links. If you find this to be an issue that you are having please send an email directly to us at: RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com If you are inquiring on a specific pet we do ask that you put the name of the pet in the subject line. So we know who it is that you are inquiring regarding. Thank you in advance for understanding as we work through this. As with any rescue we are always in need of donations. MANY of our dogs come in with special needs or medical issues. These need to be resolved before going home. If you would like to make a donation toward a dogs medical care you can use our paypal address RisingPhoenixWa@aol.com you can also email us for a physical address. We are always in need of dog food, soft food for some of our special needs dogs, collars, leashes, crates, and toys!

  1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
