That's what dogs say when we git all up in your biz. Sniffing is like our secret handshake. They call me Biscuit, because I'm like a golden buttery fluffy piece of heavenly bread, but I won't add to your waist line. Speaking of lines, the rescue lady says my blood lines and heritage are questionable in nature, but due to my low stature and snappy coat, we are rolling with Golden Retriever/Bassett Hound mix. I have been called an adorable chap, you'll probably need some chap stick after all the kisses I'm going to put on you. Like any good biscuit I go with any condiments.....gravy, jelly, honey butter, cream cheese, hamburgers, hot dogs....shoot I'm hungry now where was I going with this, ah yes, I get along with all other dogs. I love playing in the yard with any dog that wants to rumble. I'm pretty much a normal active 2 year old happy boy. I don't have any frowny faces to report. No one knows how such a fantastic biscuit ended up in the Laredo Pound, but I'm glad someone got me out. If you are ready to add the best biscuit in Texas to your family, order me up today by filling out an application. Please email Adoptions@Godsdogsrescue.org and tell them you want ME. I'll be waiting : ) GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter - ALL of our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. UPON adoption this dog/pup will be transported to you in YOUR area!! Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations that are appropriate for their age, micro-chipped, heart worm tested and on current on monthly flea/tick and heart worm preventative. Medical records will come with each dog at the time of adoption. ****Please realize that breed mix and size when grown are guesstimates based on the dog/pup's characteristics and coloring, unless we have mother/father in our rescue...***** ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $200.00 for adoptions in TEXAS only. IF THIS IS AN OUT OF STATE ADOPTION, TRANSPORT TO YOU is included in the adoption fee of $400.00 for adult dogs and $450.00 for puppies. We transport all over the country!! All our dogs are socialized and we try to provide you a good understanding of the dog’s personality. Please visit our website for more information about what we do; http://www.yourtxrescueconnection.org/. You will also find helpful information about transport, our adoption application and pictures of our all our dogs/pups looking for homes!! 1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking… - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
