ne/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. This cutie is Jade, a 2 year-old girl who looks like a mix of Boxer or Bulldog and Beagle. She has lovely polka dotted ears and a pretty tan and white coat. Jade came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray in rough shape. She was very thin and it looked like her life hadn’t been much fun to this point. All that has completely changed for Jade now that she’s with Canine Lifeline looking for her permanent home. She is really enjoying life in her foster home with a comfy bed, regular meals, and canine pals to play with. Jade has gained weight and now is about at her ideal weight of 35 pounds. She does love mealtime so her new family will have to make sure she doesn’t overeat and get too heavy. Jade hasn’t had much experience on the leash yet and can be quite a puller. Using an EZ Walk Harness on her as she works on her leash manners will make walks much more enjoyable. Jade has excellent crate manners so should be able to master the housetraining rules quickly in her new home. Although she does well with other dogs, she might be fine as the only dog in the home provided her family has lots of time to spend with her. We can’t wait to see how much this girl blossoms once she’s a treasured member of someone’s family! Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age.
