commands, and will even sit and stay by his food bowl until told to eat. He loves being with
his people, going on walks, chewing on his plushies, sitting at the window, exploring the
backyard, belly rubs, back scratches, chewing tissue!, and snacking. House trained and leash
trained.
He’s friendly with strangers, but cautious and needs time to be fully comfortable with them
before any touching/handling
Doesn't like being picked up, loud noises, being held down/pushed, hugged/squeezed,
going to the vet, being touched around his mouth, water/baths, pulling his ears, or being
alone. He looks for food to get into and does resource guarding.
He needs a loving and patient family as the only house dog in a household with a fenced yard.
Best with children over 10 years old. He has all the beagle traits of following his nose, howling
when he wants food/to come inside etc., so experience with the breed would be helpful.
He recently went to the vet and was healthy, except that he needs a tooth cleaning and has a
lump that the vet said shouldn't be a problem, and to call him if it gets bigger.
He lives in Temple City area - email your application if you think your home would be a good fit for him and we can go from there.

All our dogs are spayed/neutered, micorchipped, and fully vaccinated before adoption; they have been wormed, bathed, socialized, walked daily and much loved; each adoptee leaves with a leash, collar, and all medical records.
The beauty of coming to our Apple Valley sanctuary is that you can see all 90+ dogs! No more weekend mobiles—only special events. Maybe if there are enuff appointments, we could see you in El Monte or Orange County or nearby. Email your application and ask for more details!
