ayed & Up to Date on Shots ✔️Good with Kids ✔️ Dog Selective with Experienced Owner No Cats ✔️ Happy & Playful ✔️ Professional Ball Fetcher! ✔️House-trained Candy (a.k.a McCandy or MacKenzie from her days at PBACA) is a very sweet girl. Sadly she has not caught a break at all. She has been in a shelter environment since 2016. It's completely heartbreaking. Sometime ago she was known as MacKenzie at pbcac, was rescued after her owner surrendered her with a bad leg. Kibblez of Love saved her, took care of her surgery which was successful, and she's ready for her forever home. She's great with kids, She's not good with cats and with dogs she is selective. We feel its best if she is the only spoiled pup in a household unless you are experienced owner and patient, a slow intro can happen. Candy loves playing with her tennis balls, she loves to play, and she is also a gentle sweetheart. Candy is a very good girl, she's also the mother of our infamous Hans Solo. She is a lovely girl and just wants her furever home! Candy had a foster back in 2016. She wrote this- " Hi! It's me again! Y'all know....the one that loves tennis balls?? Well, I want to tell you, I also love car rides and playing in the water hose. Just take my word for it because foster mom lost all my pictures of me playing in the hose, but that's okay, she really tries helping me find my new forever family. I love kids and would play with them all the time!!! Now it's my turn to find my family that I can love, call my own, share my life with and dedicate my every minute to. Will you please give me that?? I'll be forever grateful" If you are interested we can set up a meet & greet. You certainly will not be disappointed. Please fill out an adoption application at .kol-fl Kibblez Of Love, West Palm Beach Florida Adoption fees are as follows- Puppies up to 8 months $300 Dogs up to 6 years old $200 Dogs 7+ years old $100 All adoptable dogs have been medically cleared by our attending veterinarian at Clear Lake Animal Hospital, up to date on vaccines, spayed or neutered and microchipped. 1. Do your research - find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle - before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you're about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don't have time for potty training and obedience classes you'll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies - It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don't be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet
  4. Start looking - Once you know what you're looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. - Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can't get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.
